From the looks of the picture, you have to take a hacksaw and cut in front of the orginal muffler for the flowmaster don't have the flange to bolt up. I also believe that you may need and extention pipe for I think the the factory muffler is longer. Flowmaster is nice, I used a pair 50 deltas in a Magnum RT and it sounded great. |

The Flowmasrer 50 is great on my magnum, but I used a Flowmaster 40 on the CRD as it is a bit more open. |

Thanks for the excellent information... I am interested in a bolt-up arrangement without cutting or welding if possible. I thought the one on Rusty's was just that... but guess not. I will explore the other suggested options...thanks. I do not want the muffler to extend lower than stock. Ken |

That is why I used the Flowmaster 40, it's shorter and thinner then the stock. If you go with everything setup for just unbolting old and bolting in the new you are really jumping up in price. Mine was about $95 installed at local muffler shop and I did not have to spend a couple hours on the ground and or have any busted knuckles.

I agree w/ oldnavy. As new as these trucks are, you don't need a new exhaust "system". The pipe that's there is in fine and shape will work fine. I put an aero-turbine on mine (which isn't cheap) but my point is that the install was only $50 and that's here in high-priced San Francisco. They had to cut out the old muffler, insert about a foot of pipe to make up for the difference in length, and weld it all in. Bread and butter work for a muffler shop. |

To complement our DIGI CR tuning module, we are working on two performance exhaust systems for the Liberty CRD, a Cat-Back system and a complete replacement system. If anyone has a complete used muffler/tailpipe assembly and wants to donate to the cause (for a reasonable price), I would be interested in talking. We need one or two more to complete the project. You can drop me a note off line. |

Working on it! Basically, our complete package will be modular. So if you wish, you can put your system together one step at a time, air/intake, tuning module or exhaust. They will be designed to work together. Since our CR module is adjustable, you can compensate depending on which components you have. I have already done this with the Dodge/Freightliner Sprinter. The Sprinter has an I-5 2.7L CRD and shares many similarities to the I-4 2.8L CRD. If you visit sprinterstore.com, you will learn more about what we’ve done with the Sprinter. This project has been on my to do list for a while but for certain reasons I’ve not been able to continue working on it until recently. Give me some time and I think you will all be really pleased with the results. |

I can't wait to see it. It's interesting that AEM lists an intake for the CRD on this page: http://www.aempower.com/pdf/aem_dryflow ... _chart.pdf But it's not available on their website. I wanted to email them, but there's no contact info on their website. I really like the aFe intakes, but they don't have one. They asked if I could dop but with the Jeep so they can get measurements, but they are in California and I'm in Texas! Keep us up to date on the intake! |
