Does anyone have some good troubleshooting for the sat radio module?

Mine says "no signal" when you attempt to change channels. It's stuck on 148 and no, it doesn't receive anything.

Well... You could pick up a single lead Sirius antenna and plug it into the module to see if the antenna went bad. Other than that you would need to try a different module. I have mine in my storage somewhere.... I wouldn't put too much effort into fixing it since Sirius is going to sunset the legacy Sirius satellites within the next 18 months.

I couldn't say much about the "sunset the legacy Sirius satellites," but it sounds like the module's shot. You could try another antenna, but without being able to change channels sounds like it's locked up / frozen.

Caution: Sirius is in money gouging mode and I ordered a replacement module and changed my mind on models within 15minutes and they already placed the order and "couldn't back it out," so charged me a restocking fee of $15. :furious: And they've automatically renewed my subscription, unexpectedly. But that won't happen again, I've gotten a replacement credit card. :5SHOTS:

You can get the radio module for cheap. This is the part number I found: 05064020AJ

If I understand the manual (PDF) that I have, it's on the right side, in the back, behind the gray plastic cover.

You could try a battery disconnect to reset the module before you change parts.

It is in the right read quarter panel. I read a very technical description of exactly what they are doing and when. But ultimately they will be blowing the Sirius satellites out to the satellite junk yard. That's a good thing since Sirius has majorly sucked since the 2001 launch. Finally no more crappy iBiquity codec! They are combining the two separate spectrums to create one large digital bitstream. This will allow for more channels at a hight bitrate. If I find the original story I post the link.

yes, I've read that all "new" advancements will be on the XM platform. However, I can find nothing that says the old Sirius is going anyway anytime soon.

2015.... The bandwidth will be needed for SiriusXM 2.0. I really don't care if you don’t believe me. Im just giving you a heads up. It just makes the value of my Chrysler Sirius tuner go up in value. Hell! I better get that thing on eBay quick!
