So I just finished installing a lift, and need to get to alignment shop. But, the toe-in is horrible, and I frankly don't want to drive it above 10mph until I at least eyeball it. The tires are screaming at me and steering is completely awash!! Funny, on my old Suzuki, the tie rod was hex shaped, so you just loosened a nut, put a couple of wrenches on it and start turning away. The CRD tie rod is perfectly round, so I looked at the service manual, and it says to turn the tie rod to adjust toe. Am I missing something? Do I have to push the boot back to access a wrenching spot?? I can't wrench on a round tie rod.
