Good point, guess I should have installed the 10mm thick heat shield woven cloth , good to 1400 degrees and 2000 in radiant heat before I put the shield back on.

The header wrap does a good job of insulatung the heat, but almost too good. Becuase the xhaust pipes cant shed heat quickly they corrode and degrade quicker.
Ceramic coating are better.
The crank sensor is already behind a heat shield.
I think some sensors are just crap.
Ive got 190k miles and have never had a crank sensor problem.
But, now that Ive said that...
