Haven't made it all the way home yet... in Vail at the moment. Already took it for its first test drive. Starts instantly at 40F weather and everything works great. Even tows like a dream behind the CRD...

I'll give the full update and more pics once I get back.

As best I can tell just now it's a '46 CJ2A... some stuff isn't adding up just yet so it'll need some identifying. Original everything other than a 12V conversion and new tires.

Not sure I have the patience for a project like that, but very cool.

Mechanically it's pretty solid... just not pretty...

This thing requires less patience then a SFA KJ  Only 7 or so mobing parts

Neither really... I'm going to leave it as original as I can but will be adding some basics like brake lights, turn signals, etc. The seats are going to be replaced with the original lowbacks and I'll probably go and re-gasket most of the engine. That's pretty much it for the mechanical plans... the rest is just body work and paint.

It's just going to be a fairly original Willys to wheel on easy/moderate trails in Moab :D Something like this makes those trails fun again :D :D

That is a nice Willys. I am glad you are going to restore it to "original" as possible instead of messing with it. It will look better and be worth more that way in my opinion.

Real nice. Congrats.
