:-)r ....no, I just found a tub a couple days ago but its pretty rough but I tihnk Ill be able to make it work and its gonna cost me $250 and then I still need to buy a Dana 300 tcase which will probably cost me $200 and a XJ with a 4.0L and an AX15 will cost me about $450, plus probably about another $600 in misc parts and pieces, so I hoping to have it down by the end of this coming school year

well I finally got around to installing the 8 lug rotors and hubs...with several calls to a friend for help, but it was a easy job I just didnt have a clue what I was doing but the front axle now rolls, first time since I bought it lol I went ahead and bolted it under the frame so now I just need to the 3/4T rotors and calipers and I will have a rolling frame. Oh and I ordered my 14B disc brakes from Ruff Stuff, and got them painted, they seem really nice, 3/8" one piece steel with the bends so no spacers and they were cheap!

Man Ive been slow on the CJ lately I havent done much to it lately, I recently bought a new Hobart Handler 140 MIG welder so I can actually build some real stuff now and Im in the process of building a tube bender, my friend had some plans so Im building it out of 5"x3/8" strap so it should be pretty solid 8) BUT I did buy some new motor mounts and I am picking up an AX15 trans next weekend for $50! So hopefully here soon Ill get back to making some progress on the CJ.

its been a little while since I have made an update, the tub I was looking at sold and the trans turned out to be a BA10 so needless to say neither of those will work for me, I do however have the bender done but I havent bought any dies yet because they are kind of expensive.

I got the CJ rolling, so I can work on it in the driveway easier and mounted the tub and added a new mount and did a 1" BL. I trimmed the bottom of the tub .5" and then riveted on some strap to protect the sheetmetal and cover the areas that are rusted through. And I started the base of the cage and rock rails.

I bought and welded on some D-rings front and rear and a rear hitch.

Then one of my roommates talked me into doing a SBC, so....

Seat mounts.

Thinking about a rear winch mount, mainly because I have this winch plate just sitting in my garage collecting dust.

I set the OEM B pillar back on the frame to get some measurements for the B pillar Ill make.

I woke one morning to a text from a friend back home and he is doing a motor swap on his 1/2T GMC so he pulled his 350 TBI and gave it to me so I will be picking up either a 700R or a SM465. I will be starting to bend tube tomorrow morning for the cage, using some 1-5/8x.188 DOM and the only reason it is that thick is because I got it for free and that was the only size he had. The new plan for the CJ will be a buggy, like Devil Dog from PBB but with some changes.

ya me either but the only reason I am thinking about it is because it has an OD, I would like an NV4500 but they go kind of crazy high around here, but I found a SM465/ NP205 for $175 that I will probably end up getting.

Ill try to remember to post pics tomorrow but I got all of the tube work done minus the A pillar and roof and Ill probably do it later when I buy some tube but I am hoping to weld in the motor mounts either this weekend or sometime Monday.

I ended up paying $150 for the SM465/ NP205 and the bell housing but he lost the intermediate shaft for the trans/ tcase so I am on the hunt for a 10 spline one now as well as a wiring harness and computer for the motor. The plans are to clean up the 465/205 and paint them and then twin stick the 205.

Its been a little while since Ive made any updates, so Ill do some now, I dont have any real recent pics right now but next time I go home Ill snag some.

New Dodge flat top knuckles with Poison Spyder high steer arms and spacers, all cleaned and painted and I installed new ball joints (no pics of them with the ball joints)

Crossmember, it doesnt hang down any lower than the rear half of the tcase so I was pretty happy since it already hangs kinda low.
