Okay, I have been asked to put up some info on the KJ so here ya go.....

Parts list for Neatus’ SFA KJ

-HPD30 with new brakes and rotors from 94 XJ $200

-4:10 gears bearings and seals $185

-Install $300

-Fox Shocks-Fox Shocks 2.0" X 10.0" Coil-Over with Remote Reservoir #980-99-005-A - $261 x 2

-Eibach ERS 10" long 2.5" I.D. Coil spring Spring Rate: 250lb - $45 x4

-Bilstein 5150 Series Shocks Part #BILBF5-A196-H0 $195 for the pair.

-OME863* Springs $83.45 for the pair

-Jeeping By Al Rear Lower Control arms - $365

- Slip Yoke Eliminator - $225

- Tom Woods drive shafts $299 x 2

- Bronco II steering box $230ish

- Muffler $74

- Pitman assembly - $154

- 4x Pro Comp XTerrain tires 305/70/16s and 4x 16x8 Pro Comp Street Locks $1325

- A lot of Rubicon Express joints, hardware, material for the front and rear linkage assemblies, exhaust pipe, trans cross member, power steering hoses, $$$$$$$$...

- I negotiated a $2500 labor price (this was the, if you can wait a long arse time price, and I told him that this is the price Inc got  )

…..when all is said and done it looks like I spent about $7200 bucks…..I am sure there are a few things out there that I bought that I lost the receipts to

I saved cash by keeping the rear in a fairly stock style setup. The guy that put this thing together built a new upper link similar to the stock one with a little bit different geometry and then used all the stock mounting locations on the axle and body. I also already had 4:10 gears and a locker in the rear axle.

Also, I bought bulk of the big parts for this build over a period of 2 years to help lighten the blow to my bank account
I have the prices of every nut bolt and washer documented but I am just not going to list it all.

This thing is not the very best but I do think it is done well with what I could justify spending. It has made wheeling a hundred times easier. Its road handling is not as nice as it used to be as I have yet to put sway bars on it(more $)
Overall, I am absolutely super stoked to have done this and all I can think of is what I am going to do next to it!
Here are some pics of the guts….

Great pics man..

couple questions

The remote res where they are at, i am guessing is perfect? thought about adding that on to are CO's but have not decided yet.

The Rear why did you go with that setup?

Everything looks awesome. I forgot about cutting the brackets off and mounting the LCA's up on mid axle

Honestly, just because it was cheaper....Unsless I break it I don't think I will change it until I get new axles front and rear. I would have liked a nice setup in the rear like Inc's but doing this was less work and no fab to the axle.

I put the remote res shocks on because of how we mounted the shocks close to the knuckle. You can't run regular Fox Emuslion coilovers upside down like I needed to do for the spring to clear the knuckle.

I may get an LJ rear link setup in the future but right now this is cool.

That's very cool... $2500 for labor is not a bad deal at all

Thanks for sharing this Neatus.

So a High Pinion Dana 30 can be had for $200?
Were torches involved

You used two 10" eibach springs on each coil over in the front... how much lift did you wind up with? I see the sleeve between the two springs, so I understand how you "stacked" them.

This documentation is very inspiring

The stacked springs are actually a standard coilover. THey are very pricey but really save space from a seperate spring and shock. You can stack spings with different weight ratings to achieve more fine tuned control.

I am sure if you look hard enough you can find a Dana 30 for less or maybe a whole XJ with one in it for $200. Yes, torches and grinders and cut off wheels and welders were involved.

Take a look at the other builds if you are interested in doing this to get a lot of ideas and maybe not have to make mistakes that others have. I feel that my setup is pretty sweet and if I had sway bars and lower geering it would have been a perfect build. Those are easy fixes though....if I get more money.

You should be able to find a HP30 for $100-$150
I have two sitting in my garage and I paid $75 for one and $150 for the other. One is marked to go into the wifes TJ and the other one does not have a final distination yet

Neatus, nice build. Definitely some good ideas there.

Not sure if it is just the pics or not, but is the front axle slightly curved (bent)?
