Looks like you did a pretty good job on it. Those turns signals are a pita huh? Did you fab your own adapting mounts so the tow hooks are usable?

Thanks. SInce I cut them off the stock bumper it wasn't too bad, just used the brackets that were there. I put it on and used what came with the bumper, 4 thick plates. I haven't had to be pulled out of anything yet. Do you for see any problems? Advice would be appreciated.

Your bumpers are awesome by the way.

That looks awesome hydenphoto! Feel free to start a thread somewhere with tons of pictures. That is really unique. I'd love to see more angles.

Your bumpers are awesome by the way.

On a JK, there are 4 holes on each frame horn where that bumper bolts on, so I'll assume you used those 8 bolts only on the crossmember of your KK. If thats the case, you might want to look into also tieing in to the unibody 'frame' rails where the tow hooks mount. It would suck to be stuck and have someone try to pull you out (or the other way around) and just rip the bumper off. If you need any help with this just pm me, more than willing to do my best to help.

Thanks for the compliment on the bumpers too!

I would really think about doing more of a ARB mounting type bracket that would bolt on good to the center cross section and also where the tow hooks go. Then mount the JK bumper to that. Just 4 or so bolts total is not much if you happen to jerk on it pretty hard

Today I compared a 2014 Grand Cherokee to my KK. My girlfriend'a Chrysler 200s Converible is in for service for the 3rd time for her windows. They freeze in the cold and the window doesn't work so it doesn't auto adjust meaning you can't close the door...

Anyways the dealer gave her a 2014 WK2 as a loaner and let me tell you this thing is awesome. It's the overland model and is white with all trim matching and it looks great. Heated and vented front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, full length sunroof, 5.7 hemi, the upgraded 4x4 system(quadra drive I think? Not the best on the grand's systems), air ride and a ton of other goodies lol. Rides great, air ride is cool and hemi power is awesome. Oh and the luxury is nice to have too lol.

I approved as a possible future truck for her. I told her she's gonna end up in a Tahoe, Suburban or some other large v8 powered SUV. This is now a possibility lol we have a few years to think though. I'm holding off on marriage and kids til were out of college and hopefully have a career

So that means they're as nice as they look. Do they still make an SRT model?
One of my goals in life is to make sure my girlfriend/future wife drives a Jeep.

As far as the Jeep site goes, yea the SRT-8 is still offered. I'm not sure if I'd trust her with that though lol. Also don't have 80K to spend on a truck lmao. Honestly, rebuilding the WK2 they gave her came out to about 53K before dealer markup, taxes, delivery and other fees.....so you're looking at around 60K which is A LOT of money.

The highest lift the air ride gave was really nice too. Gave a level stance, maybe 4" or so of lift. I can't see turning it into a wheeler though. I'd probably keep it somewhat stock and make it a street Jeep. If I got 1 I'd seriously have to look into every option. I loved the Overland model. All the trim was painted white to match the body and the door handles and mirrors were chromed. I'd probably ditch the chrome mirror covers for body matched though.

Seems crazy to give out an expensive vehicle as a loaner. Last loaner I had was a Minivan oops I mean Dodge Journey. Thing road rough and beat the crap out of me. I needless to say hated it.

I'm in love with the WK2 especially the 14s with the new headlights.. Hopefully my next jeep will be a jku but if not it'll be a GC.

That's what I said. I was surprised that it was such a high end vehicle. It has 12k miles already, and the average mpg was around 12mpg. That means it gets HORRIBLE gas mileage around town and has seen nothing but city driving, or it's been beat on and driven hard. Seeing how it's a hemi....I'm going with the latter.
