Today I compared a 2014 Grand Cherokee to my KK. My girlfriend'a Chrysler 200s Converible is in for service for the 3rd time for her windows. They freeze in the cold and the window doesn't work so it doesn't auto adjust meaning you can't close the door...
Anyways the dealer gave her a 2014 WK2 as a loaner and let me tell you this thing is awesome. It's the overland model and is white with all trim matching and it looks great. Heated and vented front seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, full length sunroof, 5.7 hemi, the upgraded 4x4 system(quadra drive I think? Not the best on the grand's systems), air ride and a ton of other goodies lol. Rides great, air ride is cool and hemi power is awesome. Oh and the luxury is nice to have too lol.
I approved as a possible future truck for her. I told her she's gonna end up in a Tahoe, Suburban or some other large v8 powered SUV. This is now a possibility lol we have a few years to think though. I'm holding off on marriage and kids til were out of college and hopefully have a career
So that means they're as nice as they look. Do they still make an SRT model?
One of my goals in life is to make sure my girlfriend/future wife drives a Jeep.
As far as the Jeep site goes, yea the SRT-8 is still offered. I'm not sure if I'd trust her with that though lol. Also don't have 80K to spend on a truck lmao. Honestly, rebuilding the WK2 they gave her came out to about 53K before dealer markup, taxes, delivery and other fees.....so you're looking at around 60K which is A LOT of money.
The highest lift the air ride gave was really nice too. Gave a level stance, maybe 4" or so of lift. I can't see turning it into a wheeler though. I'd probably keep it somewhat stock and make it a street Jeep. If I got 1 I'd seriously have to look into every option. I loved the Overland model. All the trim was painted white to match the body and the door handles and mirrors were chromed. I'd probably ditch the chrome mirror covers for body matched though.
