finally got my tires :D 285/75 16 on stock rims with 1 1/4'' wheel spacers. I cut the pinch weld in front. I didnt cut the fender flares yet. I will have to look into that since I think the rear tires will rip them off in full flex.

enough talk, we want pics :

pretty much stock

you can see in the last 2 pics that I cut too much of the pinch weld. There is still pleny of space left in front at full turn. heck I think I could fit 35's without rubbing at all

I might add light cover like greekjeeper if I can get my hands on them but I will not paint my headlights since I need to remove the grill to remove the lights and I need to remove my bumper to remove the grill :? as for even more mods, I will add a light bar on top soon + I still need to install my sliders

I did some tests and I will be able to keep the fender flares like they are, I just need 3'' bump stops. thats good news since to cut the rear fender flares mean to cut the doors and body panels :?

Looks like the rear axle needs moving back an inch or 2....Longer arms and prop shaft required.

Interesting... I never thought of just taking them out. My tires have rubbed a slit in the plastic inner fender against the pinch weld. I assumed they needed to be there to protect the engine bay, no? Did you just grind the pinch weld down a bit? Beat it over like others have?

I'm used to my Cutlass, when I had the inner fender out you could see the tire clear as day from under the hood. I guess a unibody vehicle is a bit different.

On your testing the image from the rear the KK looks level but the axle is not. This is a good thing! My question it more to digger will your truck flex like this and be level?

Also the plastic "rock rails" not sure what they are called are missing do you plan to add them back on? I wonder how one would put a 2x3 tube as the rock rail and finish the top part inside the door where when open the plastic cover a unfinished area.....

the pinch weld was cut with a grinder like skininc did. the plastic innerfender dont protect much. theres only 2 or 3 holes 2'' or smaller that give acess to the engine bay so there should be no problems except mabe rocks trown by the tire that chip the coating on the steel making it rust in the long run

the jeep is level because the rear pass tire dug a hole making it lower than the front driver tire. the rear still flex a lot more than the front like most kj's do

I have rock rails that replace the plastic part you can see them in the 2nd pic
