I don't need a light/chime to tell me a tire is low, i can tell by looking at them if they are, its not that hard. Lets not forget that the system, atleast on my truck, doesn't even tell you which tire is low on pressure, lol.
tjkj2002 - i don't see any legal issues arrising, simply because if a tire suddenly blows out and causes an accident the TPMS system isn't going to do anything to prevent it.
No but if you run to long and to fast on a low tire it will blow out,the reason for the TPMS system to warn of a low tire.And if said low tire(not flat but low) blows and you injure/kill someone and your/thier insurance company investagates and find missing TPMS sensors your on the hook for all the bills as your insurance will drop you and legally can at that point.
