Hey guys, what's the biggest lift available right now without major problems. I have read on here that some try lift "A" and lift "B" but have problems later on either with the lift or other parts of the jeep. I am looking to put on a larger lift next year and hope they will have a substantially taller one with all the bugs worked out of it by then.

The Frankenlift is the biggest lift without problems. The total lift is about 3-3.25" for the newer KJs (2.5" if you own a 2002).

Superlift is coming out with a 4" lift eventually, but it will certainly be much more expensive.

Keep in mind that we're limited more by the steering components and front diff than we are by height. There is a 7" Rock Crawler lift available, but there is no end to the problems it creates with those other components (especially if you plan to run anything bigger than a 33" tire).

I saw that Rough Country has a 3" Lift. Any info on their lift?

Can't really do much better than the Daystar. You could maybe gain 3/4" (if you're lowered) but for the $ probably not worth it. If you have a lowered KJ you can get the factory springs for the pre-lowered. This would be cheaper than a new lift.

The real answer, since you're waiting until next year, is to keep an eye on Superlift and some of the SFA kits that are being worked on. They seem to be running in the 4-4.5" range and should be out later this year (Superlift) or 2nd quarter next year.

Yeah, that's what I figured. The 4-4.5" range would be nice. Can you fit 33"'s with that lift. What's the best way to reduce rub with a tire that size? How much rub reduction can you expect with more backspacing on the rims as opposed to running regular rims? Just a few questions from a newbie. Thanks for the info by the way.
