Excuse me as I'm a post whore tonight.

So, when I get home and pop the hood to start installing my brake controller, I notice a bracket with two bolts still in it sitting on my cowling, that gets covered up by the hood when its shut. To the left I see another long big bolt. I'm like "WTF is this????" Immediately, I know its something the dealer didn't reinstall when my CEL was on last time, which was for a glow plug (again). Since I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the setup of the engine I'm some what flippant! I yank off the engine cover and start poking around and notice that its an alternator support bracket that mounts to what looked like the Valve Cover. Not a huge deal, but I'll be calling the dealer in the morning.

Now, my question is, it looked like something was missing though when I reninstalled the bracket. Down by where the single piece mounts to the alternator it looked as if there was something that mounted to the top of that piece. Anyone know if I'm missing something else?

Thanks guys.

Not knowing what bracket is missing, all I can do is post a photo of mine
and hope you see the place your bracket should be.

It blends in better in black, less obvious for the untrained eye, and that is
what looks at it most of the time.
