Back from the Pa. Jeeps All Breeds Show in York, Pa. Congratulations to 02Liberty (Tammy), and Jeepin Al (Al), for their Great Representation of M.A. L.O.S.T. by winning 2nd Place Cherokee/Grand/Liberty Class 5 Modified (Tammy), and 3rd Place Class 5 Modified (Al). On the Obstacle Course it was Joe Jeeper (myself) vs The Obstacle Course. Results Joe Jeeper = 0 The Obstacle Course = 1. We had great weather, although hot and a bit dusty, but the rain and storms held off and a good time was had by all! A big Thanks to my New M.A. L.O.S.T. Friend Mike who helped me with the tow truck, and getting Diane, Kharma and my things from the Hotel!!!!! Also Thanks to the fellas from Hatfield and Chalfont that brought us Home from York! Joe :) Here's a link to my photos so far: http://community.webshots.com/user/joeanddiane1998

Congrats to the winners. Sounds like a good time. Joe, you'll have to elaborate about the obstacle course.

After going over first 4 or 5 mounds of dirt went up a formed hill that had a cantilever type arrangement where the opposite front and rear tire came off the ground when they returned the rear was spinning and a loud snapping/breaking/ banging metallicy sound was heard! Then the rear wheels sort of stopped spinning. After taking off the tires, calipers and rotors it seemed the axles were still in place so evidentally something broke in the diff. Should know more when they open her up. (boo-hoo, hoo) crying! Joe

KJs vs obstacle course update should actually be 1 to 1. I went through fairly early on (after they winched the TJ off the top of the big hill. I still have no clue how he started to slide sideways off the top of that hill). I think I was the first KJ to go through the course, at least that is what one of the spotters said. I made it though the first set of dirt with a few line changes. I got caught on the end of the telephone poles but backed up and made then with a little 3 wheel time. Then I did skip the dirt that was set after the huge rocks because I saw a lot of people getting caught real hard in there I it looked a little too much for a stock KJ. Then I hit the corner with the big hill, had to back up to get over the the second small berm before the hill climb, then drove straight up the hill first shot.

No damage except that I busted the American Flag hitch plug that I forgot was in the rear hitch, and I had a bunch of telephone pole pieces stuck on the pinch weld.

I made it through the course fairly easily although I had to back up a few times in the same place the Joe Jeeper broke something in the rear(hopefully nothing serious). Didnt have to much trouble anywhere else on the course as it seemed that it was a bit easier in a few places then last year.

02liberty, Great pics. My favorite pic of my Jeep that you took

Image

Thank you for taking so many pics of my Jeep in action, they are outstanding. It was very nice to meet you all. I wish I had a little more time to hang around during the weekend, but the kids were hot and tired and a little bored. We all had a good weekend and a fun time.

Excellent pics...especially loved the one of me on top of the hill. Enjoyed meeting people, Al, Chris, Jen etc. Maybe next year my son will be able to stay longer and/or both days. He was getting a little tired/bored of the sitting around and watching. He fell asleep at the first traffic light we hit heading out Highland Ave (registration entrance) when we split around 3pm, when we got home (about 20 minutes later) I carried him in and he stayed asleep until 6 or so. I think he was a little tuckered out by a day at the show....LOL.

anybody know who the liberty with the euro type plate on front was?
i thought it was kind of funny that when he got hung up on the 2 pile of dirt past the big rocks we were standing behind RUSTYS trailor watching and there was a guy busting up laughing!! and poking fun, but with a little wiggle and giggle the kj got over the hump!! know later in the day there was a rubicon drivin by the same jackass laughing at the kj got hung up on the belly skid aka the shovel. and he had 4 wheels in the air spinning and had to stapped and pulled off!! that was the highlight of the day for us!!
i did see jeepin al but was looking for others but by the time we got around to really looking at the jeeps on display we say joe jeeper and 02liberty and jeepinal, everybody left so early didnt get to meet everyone or show off my new rubicon.

I'm glad I had the chance to run up there even if it was just for a couple of hours. I did run into most of you guys and I got a lot of good ideas for the Rubi. I can tell you that Skid Row makes a mean looking bumper that will be going on the Jeep in just a couple of weeks. I am smelling Birthday gift He.. He..
