Dean, are we doing dash placks this year?

Dash plaques, eh? Sounds uber-cool! If you need any artwork done, let me know. My new job is so creative-challenged, that I'm actually taking free-lance work in my spare time when I DON'T need the money. Who woulda thunk THAT?!

I was boogie-boarding the rips along Ocracoke's beach during last year's little bitty tropical storm that you're talking about. It's funny looking at this pict...my Jeep looks so low!

My brother's coming along with his wife. He's trying to decide whether or not to bring his 10 year old daughter. Anyone else bringing their kids?

I'll be bringing, my daughter Destiny (age six), my daughter Grace (age three and quite precocious), and my son Caleb or C.J. (age seventeen months)............and of course the wife.

I'll bet Ben and Mary are bringing their daughter also.

Yeah.. Our daughter is joining us for the run...

I also wanted to ask if anyone is staying in a hotel up there.. Maybe we can all stay at the same hotel and get a group discount... Just an idea..

Ben

Ben, I can tell you right now that Dean will be camping. He dosent like that AC mischeif.

I may camp or stay in a hotel. It really depends on the amount of green in the wallet when the run gets closer.

Better yet, as a group we should rent a beach house......or two. Being it's the off season then, the prices will not be in the stratosphere.

............think BBQ, swimming pool, jacuzzi..........in a mansion on the beach.

Mutt - You are right.. You probably could pick up a beach house for the cheap..

Since it is early enough.. Let me make some calls and see what kind of prices I come up with....

Beach house sounds like a great idea! Let's do it! I would like to request a house that allows animals. My party would need two bedrooms (one for my wife and I and one for my brother, his wife, and their daughter).

I'll take two rooms, or at least a room that sleeps 3 (two beds).

So far we are up to 5 rooms including one bedroom for my family... All we need is a big king size bed.. LOL..

Brady - Yeah.. We will make sure it is pet friendly... Can't leave Lou out.. Plus.. Allen is bringing his puppies also.. Which reminds me..

Allen - Do you want to join us and be part of the bedroom count?

Richard - That is a good question.. Where do we want to get the house? What part? Once we have that information.. We can start searching for a house...

Ben

Staying in town (Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kittly Hawk) would give more restaurant options.......but I think we should have a shindig at the house(s) involving firing up the grill. At that time of the year, prices will be good anywhere.

I'm in for a beach house, one or two rooms...........many of the houses come with rooms with bunk beds, so we could house the children together.
