Anyone around the Chicagoland area willing to help me put rusty's coil suspension on? I dont have much knowledge on suspension components so it would great for someone to guide me/help me put this together. I will travel some distance to get this installed. Just tell me what to bring for the install. I will bring money for beer since I cant buy any.

I'm willing to give it a shot. I'd like to get a couple more lifts under my belt.

Might want to pre-find someone who can disassemble and reassemble those front struts for you, I know the coil spring compressor I bought didn't fit the stock springs. Good think I didn't need it for KJ-BOL's and my Frankenlifts.

I'll volunteer my garage as I'm kinda centrally located - Downers Grove near 88 between 355 and 294. This weekend would work for me. Saturday is better, but Sunday's OK too.

Finally got an offer on the old house!! Now I'll have some funds to play more. And on that note, won't have to sell the rear control arms so looks like we'll have two projects

So this Saturday, 7/29 10:00 AMish?? My place?? Jeepman60441 shop??

I'll PM address and phone to all who post they are (or might) attend if we decide to use my garage.

I say we hit your place. It's a good middle point for all. As much as a shop would be nice, I don't really feel like driving all the way to lockport.

We will have 4 projects - The lift, your arms, Henry's Boulder Bars need to go on, and then Henry's old bars and my tranny skid to Matt's KJ. Busy day I guess!

sorry "free" i talked to "05" the other day online and said that we could use the auto shop that i work at in joliet cuz we have air and all the tools we would need. but whatever you guys want to do.. Ill be there to help So if someone can PM me some directions or a phone number then ill show up with tools.. i have plenty so let me know what to bring

No worries Jeepman, just lookin out for our northern members. I have air and "probably" all the tools we'll need (cept my impact sux), but it wouldn't hurt to bring spares. Somebody will need to bring a spring compressor for the strut assemblies unless we're just gona run um over to Midas or such and have them do it. I borrowed one from Pep Boys for my Frankylift, but when the spring is compressed, the clamps got wedged between the coils and was a PITA to get out.

Maybe I'll order some pizza, don't wana drink all that beer on an empty stomach.

I'll PM address and phone and you can mapquest it.
