Any one intrested in attempting a trip to Little Manistee ORV trail again?

The June one was canceled.

For planning sake, I listed September 9th?

Thoughts?

I need to move the date to the following weekend.
September 16th.

Sounds great , I should be back from Boston by then and ready for some back woods instead of all pavement. Keep the planning going!

Well, as luck would have it, the 9th will no longer work for me. I am going to head up the following Saturday, September 16th

You can drive the snowmobile trails called "2 tracking" it is pretty cool, providing they are not all moguled up.Last. Last time I was there it was a bit to bumpy, so we hit some of the back roads by the lakes.

There are several "seasonal roads" in the carrieville trail as well.

I will pencil it in on the calendar. Not 100% sure yet, but looks promising.

What are the trails like? After all of the June posts, it sounded like it was just dirt roads on flat land (although I may have missed the real trail report post...).

Should not matter about the trail and what they are like. Just the fun of getting out and doing some off-roading

Don't forget you need a valid state tag to run these trails

are you still think of doing this thing up at Carrieville?

We should really start thinking about this before it gets to cold to camp out.

I am still planning on heading up there.
I am not sure about camping, that is going to be a 50 yard call next week.

We could always meet at RiverTown Crossings mall for a little warm-up...sorry but I had to say it

Seriously though, that might not be a bad place to meet. There is a Jeep dealership literally right across the street. They might even allow us to stage there if someone ask nicely.

I know you already defended this point; but are they just dirt roads or are there serious, winch/strap, obstacles.

Not that nature isn't wonderful, but if you are gonna drive 6-7 hours average, you want it to be something fantastic and exciting. Beautiful scenerey is everywhere ya know?

My weekend is half open so I'm up in the air about it.

I wouldn't want call this a season closer though.

A closer should be like a trip to the Mounds or some other hardcore avenue.

Which reminds me, we should plan a meet/greet n' wheel at silver lake in the spring.
