Check out these speaker adapters:

Crutchfield says they work in the 05 Libby.

You can make a set real cheap. Go to lowes or whatever large home store is near you and buy a small piece of sheet metal (usually by the HVAC isle). Cut a hole to the size that the speaker requires ( should have a demensions diagram that came with the speakers) and use self tapping screws to mount it to your door.

mattnmette, wouldn't that rattle a bit and make the sound more tinny? I've never seen a speaker enclosue made of metal before, only of dense plastics and wood. I'm no audiophile, so just a thought.

I don't think he is talking about a full enclosure for it. Just using the sheet maetal to moun the 6.5" speaker to and then using the sheet metal to fit the factory mounting holes.

Your right a thin metal speaker enclosure would sound like poo.

What kolesy said is correct. Basicaly you just mak a 2 inch speaker ring. The amount of metal being exposed to any speaker pressure(6.5 inch is very little to begin with) will only be about an 1/8 inch. That is not enough to make a difference in SQL(sound quality level).

P.S. I forgot to mention to seal the space between the sheet metal and the door frame with silicone.
