just, wondering how many who belong to the AZ club are female and male? I ask because I am considering joining to go offroading, but I am female and single, and would feel strange, as silly as that seems! I am fairly new, but my ex showed me how to offroad over in Table Mesa, but I dont feel comfortable offroading by myself .... WOuld anyone be willing to show me the ropes!? :D

Well, I think Beth was the only other girl & I think she is either going or gone to basic training for the Army.

You should join up... It's a great club and everybody is very friendly and willing to help with pretty much any problem. We're all out to have a good time.

Another guy here. There are several other females who go out on runs - DynaTammy (DynaMikes wife) is the only one whose name I can readily recall, but there are others, mostly wives of members. Bethany is getting ready to depart for Missouri for Basic Training at the end of the month. Come on out for a run, I promise the single guys won't bite :P Its an incomplete list but you can check the member roll over at azlostkj.com.

Hey...un-married female member here. I joined this club about 2 years ago and have no worries, this is great group of guys and girls here. I am the one leaving for the army in one week so I won't be around as much, but this group knows their stuff. It only took one run for me to see how great they all were :D ! I hope that helps.

HI Kim,

No worries, the AZ group is a great bunch of folks. I'm a single girl from So-Cal and have wheeled with them for the last couple of years.

Join and have a great time, you won't regret it...promise :)

Hmm, we could do a 'Scottish Desert Highlands' run and then a 'Best Jeep Legs' contest that evening :P Just don't get started on the whole 'thong' thang; trust me, you would NOT want to see my rear end in a thong

Actually, depending on the lift a blown front shock can be a common occurance. I've heard about Table Mesa from Travis (LOST TJ) and some others but haven't had a chance to get out there yet. I was going to g out a month ago with SethX9 but when we got to the turnoff there were police cruisers sitting inside some yellow tape across the road, so we decided to turn back and try another day...

Table Mesa is probably my favorite place to wheel. What do you run out there? What trails have you been on? I'll be going out there over the long weekend and the weekend after that if you want to wheel. Most of the trails i go on have not had a liberty on them yet that i know of. So if want to ride along let me know and we'll make some plans to do that. Welcome to the club.

We were looking pretty good about gaining a new member until Jeff started in with the kilt thing (shudder).
We're probably out of the running now. Oh well, she would have found out sooner or later how nuts we are. Fun, and safe, but nuts!

ahh... maybe not! :D

I have taken pretty much all of the main trails out on Table MEsa, I think ... I took the one that goes down to the bottom of the river bed, where it NEVER should have made it with the wranglers that I was with, and I did it, without breaking anything! It was fun going past all the cows!

Sounds fun. I was hoping you could think of a trail we all could do. Have you ever run Tip Top Mine? It looks like one we all can do but i'm not sure where the trail head is. I bet Kevin would find it if i gave him some coords. I still need Vern to ride along with me on the wash trails and tell me if he wants to try them.

Tip Top Mine? Not sure ... I know that there was a ruin of a stone house ... and a steep hill that i had to drive up, and let me tell you, if its that one, i am not doing it on my own .. NO WAY! I have a fear of my jeep flipping over backwards and thats what it feels like.

Send 'em to me and I'll check it out. I'm up for some wheelin' this weekend or next (I'm taking off tomorrow since we have no work AGAIN! ).

Found a write-up with some directions to Tip Top Mine. Travis, it looks like this is out the same way as Anaconda and Lower Terminator. Heres a Google Earth file if anyone wants to check it out. Right click on the link and chose "save As...".
