Well folks, the first edition of the Lonestar L.O.S.T website is up! It is currently at www.geocities.com\lonestarlost . A big thanks goes to Chris for designing the logo. It is very basic right now, as I don't have much to put up yet. So please pass along any ideas you have. This is our website, so let's make it great.

A few ideas I have:

Pics: Any and all. I know to post pics in the forum, they have to be posted on another website. Ours is a good place. Right now, I don't see any limit on how many, but I'm sure as we grow, we may decide to limit the number of pics per person/rig. Feel free to email me any pics you'd like to see on the site along with any captions. I hope to have some of my own soon.
Contact/personal/rig info: Maybe we could put some info about ourselves and/or our rigs.

FYI-Even though it is currently on geocities, I am building and svaing it locally so there won't be any downtime or loss when it moves to it's own site.

How about a "members rigs" area or something like that, a contact information and/or message board?

It looks great.

thanks spike. I've corrected the link. I'll add both the members rigs and contact pages tonight. I've not done a message board before, so I'll see about getting that up.

Is anyone else having problems with the link? It works for me, but that may not mean much. You can also go to geocities.com and search for lonestarlost to get to it.

Hey ya'll! I've update the website, so let me know what you think. I added a pics page and a contact page. If you'd like some of your own pics up, email them to me at jnelson02@netzero.com along with any captions you'd like. I'll look into trying to set it up so you can upload your own. As far as contacts go, if you want your info on there, just let me know. I didn't want to put anything without prior approval.

From testing the site just now, I'll have to move it to a more permanent location this weekend. With the addition of the pics, it exceeds it alotted data transfer. So, once it's moved I'll be able to do much more with it, i.e. a calendar, more pics of our rigs and runs, etc.

Just wanted to let everyone know the site is now at www.lonestarlost.com with a new look. I will be making some changes in the next few days, so be sure to check back often.

I was trying to add some features to the site last night and idadvertently messed something up. I'm trying to get it fixed. Hopefully it'll be back up soon. Again, sorry about that.

The site is back up now. Apparently at some point a file was lost. just had to figure out which one. i hope to have some new features added in this week.

Just a small issue, but why do we have a forum on the site if we have one here?

I'd suggest maybe a little simplifying of the site, but that's just my opinion and ya'll are free to do whatever you want.

Because we can.

Seriously though, I don't intend for that forum to replace this one, more as a supplement. Since it hasn't been up long, I haven't had a chance to do much with it, but I have plans to do more. And we haven't had any local events. I see it more as a place to post pics, talk about events, and other more local things without cluttering up this site.

Because I have complete control of it, I can host as many and any pics, news articles, whatever. And then only the best pics can be posted here for all to see, but everyone that was at an event can see all the pics from it. And I can do all that because there aren't hundreds of members.

Most of the members here have their "own" site at various places to host their pics and such. I can do all that in one place and provide an easy means for others to comment on them.

It's there for whomever wants to use it. It's only costing me to register the domain, so I see no reason not to provide all I can. If just one person uses and appreciates it, that's enough for me.

That said, I still do my best to make sure all info is available at both sites.
