Along with everyone else, I would like to express my joy at knowing you are OK. I've had my share of accidents on two wheels and four, and its all OK as long as you can walk away.

One thing I would like to know, in addition to AZ Scouts questions, which tire went? Front or rear, left or right. In one of the pictures I see the right rear is flat, but I didn't want to assume that it was the one that caused the problem.

Oh, and can I have yer Rocky lift?

It may not seem like it, but it sounds like it could have been a whole lot worse. Good drivin' and we are all glad you are still around to tell about it.

Hey man, remeber me, jim, form the install party with devin? Glad to hear ur fine. Your very lucky. I too had a problem with my KJ almost the same time u crashed yours, well actually my sister, ..long story i now drive a mustang gt that i own entirly myself, unlike the kj, which is still my dads. BUT ANYWAY my sister was drivng it and the left ball joint failed. Long story short, she left it in a parking lot, and I had to drop what i was doing, look at it, go to dealer, wait for tow and take care of the paperwork while she was with her friends. Weird that it happend about a week of me getting my car and even more weird that we both had these accidents around the same time, but as the saying goes... sh** happens...

glad everybody is ok...

my first car was an 1989 golf with Kuhmo ecsta's...I had a blow out and rolled it...I think these tires have a bad track record...

loosing two KJ's in two weeks is one thing, but look at some of the Pontiac GTP forums...one of those guys catches on fire each week (no joke)...The car will be just sitting there and poof... flames...

I know those tires must be fairly new because you installed your lift after I put mine on...I'd be calling Kuhmo before the adjuster has the KJ towed away...

Glad to hear your ok. look on the bright side...now is a good time to do that solid axle coversion with the insurance money....and Rock lizards bumper will take care of front end...new grille and headlight and you wil be good to go and you wont have to worry about dinging it up cause you can leave the paint the way it is and buy the rear bumper as well. if it is going to be repaired it has to go to the shop anyway why not just make the "necessary" repairs......

Man Myke sorry to hear about the jeep. Glad you guys are ok. By the looks of the pictures you are lucky it didn't roll over it could have been much, much worse. Let’s not go there.

If it is a total: save the springs. When you get a new liberty. We will throw you another lift party. This time let’s pick a warmer date. I don't want to have to bring heaters again.

Jason

heard from the insurance company yesterday. I owe 11k+ and they valued it as 14k. So it is totaled. I will still be around the boards as I decided if I am going to get another KJ or not.

I don't know how it blew but there is a hole in the sidewall.

would you guys say its totaled?

If it isn't it's pretty freaking close. The value of an older liberty is what .. somewhere around 14K now? To have to fix a car involved in a wreck that serious (where it looks like the integrity of the jeep was compromised with the roof being mangled like that) would have to be pretty freaking expensive.

Glad you're not hurt

sorry about your accident and good to hear you are safe.

May I ask, in your view, did the lift compound the loss of control of your KJ?

Was it raining?

Take lots of pix and salvage any parts you are allowed before you settle w/ your adjuster.
