Does more flex up front also bring the possibility of more spring/ubj contact?

How many of the people who have installed them torqued them down to 65 ftlbs. ? I don't have my torque (its at my parents house a long ways a way from college) wrench but would like to install my discos any how.

They look like they will be awesome.

Also, these are servicable correct?

What should we put in them and how often?

Got mine yesterday, installed them this afternoon....sweeeet. :)

They were very easy to install. I don't have a torque wrench, so I just tightened it as much as I could with my ratchet--it's probably pretty close to 65 ft. lbs., and I don't know that it's all that crucial as long as you use the lock-tite.

For some reason I had to make the driver side about 2 turns longer than the passenger side. I hope that's not a problem--it's only about 5 mm.

Anyway, they look great. I can't wait to use them.

Just got this from JKS:

Matt,
With all new products there may arise issues. I need to know about them ASAP. If I don't hear from anyone I can only assume there are no problems. Please let the members know to contact me immediately with any problems they may encounter with our products.

Would running the front disconnected cause any bindings or any other issues?

I have installed them and now the sway bar is thumping when I go over suff (such as the cracks in the road).
Any idea of how to fix this?

I have them about as short as they go.

Are they the same length as the stock ones?

kjhawaii, I wouldn't unscrew them the full 2inches. You may try .5in 0r 1in. Remember, the geometry of the front suspension is kinda confusing.

Screwed all the way in, they are longer than the stock ones.

Mine are giving the same noise. I have mine unscrewed about 1/4" inch. I thought I just need to play with the length, but just have not had time. I notice it only seems to chunk when the suspension is unevenly moving. If I hit say a speed bump square so both sides lift at the same time same height. I will not hear any noise out of them. Hit the same speed bump at a diagonal they get noisy.

Just another thought. I have looked they are not hitting anything. Connected or disconnected.

This from JKS:

"Make sure the jam nut is set tight against the female tube section of the QD. Also, check to make sure the upper steel ring is not touching or rubbing on the swaybar. If so, loosen the jam nut and rotate the ring until it is clear of the swaybar and retighten the jam nut. Unfortunately (for noise transmittal) the KJ is like the WJ in that it also has a uni-frame which makes the vehicle more rigid than the old XJ's. This rigidity is extremely prone to transmitting more noises into the cabin area. There is really no fix for this."

Has anyone used these offroad yet? I suspect (and hope I'm wrong) that the disconnected sway bar will be banging in to all kinds of stuff. If guys are getting strange noises with them connected then I'm really wondering how well they will work when disconnected.?.? Somebody please update when these have been trail tested. Thanks!

I hope to be going with the NMT off road club this weekend, but I don't know if they will be doing anything that will make me flex enough to actually be able to tell (its the beginning weekend to get the popularity up).
