I seem to have this problem with keeping the KJ clean. On Monday, I have to clean it up, mud and dirt all over the thing. Last week, It got drity on a Tuesday, my wife took it in to have it cleaned on Thrusday, and would't you know, by Monday, it was all full of mud again.

My wife thinks that the KJ has a problem and attracts dirt like a magnet. I just told her, it must be a jeep thing. :D  8)

it DOES attract dirt. Dirt is one of the standard features that comes on even the base models. :D

It's simple to keep clean. Just put a good wax on it. Rainguard the side windows and the rear and forget about it. The rain will keep it clean enough. :)

Seems like most of the KJs in the Midwest chapter are khaki so my Jeep feels a bit like an outsider. I caught her one day doing her best to fit in. Had to explain it OK to be different and bought her a new new skidplate so she felt special.

One easy way to get rid of the mud that has caked underneath your wheel well is to spray some WD-40 or baby oil on to the wheel well. This prevents the mud from sticking as much and when you decide to wash it off (which every way that maybe) it will more than likely come off a lot easier. Hope this helps. Now that guy with the cat piss problem....

Pam (cooking spray) works too, and isn't quite as bad for the environment.

Jeep didn't give me any washing instructions. Do you use warm water or cold?

The washing instructions were on that little white clothe tag that said, "Do Not Remove For Fear Of Criminal Prosecution....."
