Shanna and I most likely will not be able to attend this run. It looks as if Shanna will be moving out to Arizona earlier and I need to stay home and finish the packing. Hope you guys and gals have fun.

Brian,

too bad you guys can't make it. I was really hoping to hook-up with you two again before your big move.

as for monday, it looks like we have three - four(Burchie? did the jewelery work?) rigs attending I may have one or two friends going as well, two TJ's. so i guess the plan is to meet up at the trail head at the Cleghorn exit at 9:00am. I am going to assume 2-3 hours for the trail. if enough people are interested we can do Pilot Rock up to Arowhead. isn't that trail the adopt-a-trail?

Sorry bud but 2N33 is the adopt a trail, 2N17x is Pilot Rock if not mistaken. This is a really tough trail. It would take most of the day just todo pilot rock. Cleghorn should take a while too depending on the offshoots that we take, and how many Burchie flops we have to get on all four wheels. It could take a while so lets leave most of the day open for Cleghorn. After that lets see what happens.

Burchie bring it. You told me last time we were on this trail you would be back. Dont let the trail win. Dinner and a movie worked for me last time mine gave me a hard time about going out.

Just FYI, cleighorn is a fire road. It has some off shuts that cut corners, but that's about it. The trail / road can be done in 2 wheel drive. That is why I flopped, because I was so board driving on that road, and wanted out of there. Not paying attention and found the only rock in the road for miles. stupid rock.

Doug is correct. 2N33 is the same..... fire road, with a couple of cut offs, that are really illegal to take. They were in the process of barricading these cut offs, off. Pilot rock is 2N17x, and from what I saw off it, the beginning and the end, it looks pretty rough. Then to get to Arrowhead, you take pavement.

Wellllll, I did have a photo shoot booked with some playboy models types down at the beach. But I think hanging out with you all would be better. OK, I'm in. See you Monday.

no need to argue about what trail is named what - let's just go drive on them and have some FUN. let's go ahead and start one of those threads to copy and paste so we have a head-count and to make sure no one gets left behind at the trail head if they show up late.

Hey all,
Thinking about joining ya on this one. Has anyone heard about a fire in the area? Family member works for C.H.P. and there was reported fires in the area last week. Can anyone confirm this? or confirm there are not fires / fires are out?

There was a fire in Doug's favorite town of Mentone. It had the 38 closed for a day or 2, but everything is open as of right now.

Come on down. This will be a good trail.

What do you have for equipment? And have you filled out a "hold harmless" form for LOST KJ West?

Just a stock "02" kj 4x, front and rear tow points, and AT tires. I have filled out the Hold Harmless / app / paid dues / mailed in and got Sticker on rear glass :)

This is the perfect trail for you to do. We took 2 other stock KJ's on clieghorn, and it was great. Just enough obstacles to wet your whistle. You'll be down at quinn;s next week getting a lift and Boulder Bars. Or you can buy a TJ, and come to the darkside.
