I'm interested, Im just about ready to change the diff fluid again, a good opportunity to change the cover. I've been looking at the BTF cover, It has a fill hole, but no drain hole, also only 1/4 steel.

How soon???

OK, I talked to my supplier yesterday to work out the extra details. Should have prices for you guys in the next day or two. There will be a drain plug, and the holes will be countersunk and they will come with stainless replacement hardware. He has the change the tooling a little bit from his regular production since these are pretty much a Rock Lizard exclusive he is doing for me, so once he gets the tooling and makes a first cover, I will try it on, make sure all is well, then I'll start taking orders. From the sounds of it, price shouldn't go up more than $20-30 from the original design quote, but I will get the actual price for you guys as soon as I get it.

Can't wait for the installed pictures of your tester unit. I think once the word gets out, if it all fits good, you will have a high volume sale item here with the drain plug model as there is nothing else like it on the market.

Anyone need a Rock Ring? (Actually, it would be funny if the Rock Ring fit on top over this thing. Talk about over-kill 8) )

My website link is all over the place. Are you talking about a specific link directly to the diff covers? I'm confused.

OK, guys, here is the update. I got it worked out with my supplier, so that the new 8.25 diff covers will have a drain plug along with the standard fill plug, and the holes will be countersunk, and the covers will come with stainless hardware. The cover with be 3/8" A50 (50,000PSI) steel plate with a 1/2" A50 steel plate mounting ring. They will be fully welded, and they are 100% gauranteed for life, no questions asked, although I am positive you will completely destroy the axle around these covers. They will come bare steel.

I am going to get my hands on one of these covers and personally mount and test them on my own rig to make sure they are satisfactory, but from what I have seen and read about them so far, they are quickly becoming one of the hottest diff covers on the market. I will take everyones order if they want to get in on these, but I will not charge, order, or start shipping until I have personally approved the quality for the price. I won't be happy if someone is not happy with what they receive and I have not personally put my hands on one or mounted one to my own vehicle. Would not make sense to sell something that I would not use myself.

So, with all that being said, here is the fun part. The standard 8.25 covers with the regular holes and no drain hole and no hardware has a regular retail price of $110 plus shipping. After talking to my supplier and getting these custom additions done with the stainless hardware, countersunk holes, and a drain plug, the regular retail price will be $120 plus shipping. I will be selling them for $120 shipped.

I should have a cover on and tested within two weeks. If interested, please sound off like on the Moab '07 thread, copy and paste the entire list from the previous post and add youself to the bottom. If you need to remove yourself from the list later, post the entire list again and remove your name. This is so I can have a list of people to PM once I have mounted and approved these covers. I would like to order a nice little pile of these from this company all at once to show our appreciation for making the additions to the covers and keeping the price reasonable.

So, let's get the list started if you are definately in for one of these (if they prove to be a quality product).

1. Rock Lizard
2.

Hate to interupt the flow but any chance of the same mods to D44 covers? I am sure I will get one for My XJ 8.25 but I need a pair for my SFA KJ D44 project too.
