The drain plug is a 1/4" x 3/8" allen bolt so it ends flush with the inside of the cover. It's not just a plain allen bolt though. I forget the actual name for it, but it has a rubber O-ring type seal. My supplier has been running it for a week or so now and hasn't found any leaking, and the rubber seal helps keep it tight without backing out. 1/4" seams small, but it is plenty big enough for the diff, expecially when you open the fill plug at the same time. Look at the other drain plugs on your oil pan and tranny. Well, actually I have no idea what size oil pan plug is on the KJ and I'm pretty sure you don't have a tranny plug. My XJ has 7/16" oil pan plug and a 10MM tranny plug. Those aren't very big IMHO.

Kj's do not have a drain plug for the tranny. :( They wanted us to get oil all over our selves when we changed the oil.

OK, got my 8.25 cover on it's way. Supposed to be here by Monday, so as soon as it shows up, I'll take some pictures as it straight out of the box, then I will paint it, and install it as soon as the paint cures. So, figure sometime Tuesday. For the diff covers, I would prefer to do paypal, cashiers check or Western Union Money Order on those for now. My website, email, and credit card machine have been getting some maintenance work and all kinds of other crap I don't understand, so if you have a paypal account, my paypal account is martin@rocklizardfabrications.com. If sending a money order or cashiers check, send those to:

Rock Lizard Fabrications
c/o Martin Verburgt
3250 Honeyburyl Dr
Colorado Springs, CO 80918

Make the payment for $120 even. Be sure to include your shipping address, phone number, name, LOST name, KJ year, and...that should be about it. If you don't have a paypal account, setting one up is free and easy, but it takes a couple days to confirm everything, but there is plenty of time to get that done before I place the stock order. If you want to use your credit card, paypal will work for that. I apologize for the inconvenience. Upgrades are just one of them growing pains.

RL, your awesome. PayPal is so easy I prefer it best.

For your test fit, please measure the amount of gear lube that goes in as I want to know if there is any reduced or increased lube capacity.

I had planned on it, but looking at the design compared to the stock cover, I would say there will probably be room for a little more lube. I found out that the covers have also been slightly redesigned to ensure enough clearance for the newer ARB Air Lockers, so if you have one or get one in the future, it will fit. There is no visible difference, just 3/32" taller to make room for the ARB.

RL - you should modify the title of this thread to add the words "w/drain plug" - I'll bet a lot of non-4x4 folks don't even look at this kind of stuff but will buy it just for this added option.

My cover should be here before the end of the week. My supplier ordered the hardware for the redesigned covers and the hardware he received was not right, so he had to wait for the right hardware. Sorry about the delay, guys.
