For the last couple of years I've run all kinds of trails around Colorado and just generally all around tearing up my MT/Rs with no major effects. I also recently picked up an old beater just for driving to and from work so the Jeep has been sitting in the garage. My wife drove my Jeep Friday (since her car was in the shop) and, lo and behold, I now have a flat tire. She managed to pick up a nail during her drive to work and back but, luckily, it's repairable. It's not a big deal but I'm gonna give her a hard time about it though. Ironic, isn't it.

that is funny...

I put my BFG AT's back on for street driving and then I went and bought a beater Subaru to drive around!
So, should I bring the Lib with At's to the conservation run, or should I Wheel the Subaru  It has a 2 speed t-case  and has averaged 30MPG for 300 miles of mostly running around C Springs and the Academy!

I bought an '86 VW GTI that gets ~30 mpg. It has a nice 5 speed tranny, I never have to worry about the front diff blowing, and it has some awesome knobby tires on those 13" rims. If I wasn't taking the trailer up there, I'd leave the Jeep behind and take the GTI.

On a side note, I was thinking of putting the phrase, "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand" on the back window of the GTI

Maybe we could get PXLDSN to make us stickers that say " It's a Gas Mileage thing... I know you understand!" with the Jeep grill and headlights logo on both sides.
