Hey everyone,

I was just wondering which direction people were pounding their pinch welds down...inwards or outwards? I would think that outward would be the way to go, but I don't call myself a newb for nothin!

Thanks for the help, everyone!!

Wouldn't matter if you use my mod/fab job by keeping the plastic flap and molding it to cover/protect the weld.

IN, with the big hammer, then paint and cover it with whatever.

I left mine alone w/ 265/75/16 on a rusty's coil lift. I flexed the hell out of it and no problems or rubbing on it.

I crushed mine with a sledge hammer, didn't really go left or right. I just flattened it like a pancake.

Funny... The way my pinch welds were shaped it was much easier to pound them outwards...

I was running the stock 16x7. It only rubbed on the front near the fog lights until I pulled out the fender liner and on the sway bar but nothing to bad that affected the driving. Oh it also rubbed on parts of the flares but that was cus I ripped both front ones off and had them zip tied on.

I have a Rusty's lift as well and have never had a ny rubbing on the pinch weld but do on the fog light doors (which will be removed once I get that RL bumper). Since you all are banging the crap out of it though I think I will pound the poop out of mine just to be a team player. Might need to anyway, gonna go up to the 265s next tire purchase. Oh, will beat mine inward too.
