The primary day will be Saturday, however, if there is interest, we could go for Sunday as well.

If you want to do this on Sunday, post here.

On a side note, Jen, Cassidy, and I will be cooking hot dogs and stuff over a camp fire after the run. Everyone is welcome to join us but you'll have to bring your own food/sodas.

So, less than a week, and here is the list I have of those coming out:

KW AV8R
Rock Lizard
USAFCOP
tjkj2002
Skyjump136
JsCRDKJ?
pjonesco?
DJBassman?
Tokyjoe?
nocoast?

It hate to be brutally honest, but that is pathetic. It's amazing how many people will show up to something that may be fun or a benefit to them, like the DC meeting with Bob, but ask anyone to come clean up a little trash while doing some wheeling, good luck getting anyone to respond. This post has been up for over three weeks, so there has been plenty of time to check your calenders and simply post a yes or no, atleast as a courtesy. If you can't make it, fine, no big deal, simply post you have other obligations, we understand other things have priority, but don't hide in a closet by not posting at all hoping no one will realize you didn't show up. This is an opportunity to give back for the opportunity we have to take our jeeps out and actually use them. If a trail gets shut down because of people trashing it and no one taking care of it, who has the right to complain about the trail being shut down? If your jeep is stock or not ready for a trail like Eagle Rock or Saran Wrap, hitch a ride. If you can't afford the gas to make the trip, that is understandable, hitch a ride. If there isn't anyone to hitch a ride from where you live, that is understandable.

OK, I could keep going, but I'll just end my rant there.

This is also our September monthly meeting, and Club elections are coming up in a few weeks, so it would also be a good time to meet everyone, find out who the current temp officers are, meet other potential candidates that may be interested in one of the positions, so you can have a better idea who to nominate and vote for.

So, if we can get some solid yes or no confirmations, then that would be much appreciated.

If someone wants to ride along on the trail I'll have empty seats.

I am in, but I am wheelin with quite a few people I don't know and they didn't know about the clean up. So, I think we are going to be going up Saran wrap and coming down eagle rock. In which case we are going to contribute after we finish up. If all goes well we should be meeting up with you guys about 11am. If anyone is bringing a 2-way radio let me know a channel and I will shout at you Saturday morning.

We'll be running on Ch 12 for the CB and Ch 12 (no subchannel) for the FRS.

I'm in for Saturday. My ride isn't stock, but I am lacking a few things for serious wheeling (such as skids, sliders, front tow hooks, traction adding devices). I have some experience wheeling though and had planned to drive. How difficult are these trails anyway?

Either way, I will at least be at Tinsel Town by 9am and on the CB channel 12!

How's this weather going to effect the cleanup?Just a thought but if there is snow on the ground it might be hard to spot trash.I'm still going just though I'd ask about how the impending weather may effect us.

I was wondering the same thing but I've assured that there is enough trash up there that we will still be able to see some.

On a related note: I talked to the Forestry Service and Frank Landis (my contact there) is going to try to meet us up there. He is very enthusiastic about getting our club involved in some other projects. I told him to feel free to contact us whenever they need help but that I couldn't guarantee we would be able to help every time. I'll fill everyone in on the details when I see them tomorrow.

Was hoping to make this outing. However, daughter has overnight birthday party to attend. And coming down from Northern Coloardo, we would not make it till past noon.

Thought this would have been a good project for the kids. Even with our daughter in a cast. (Those scooter will get ya.)

We will see if we can make the next outing.

You all stay warm.

Did anyone take any pictures? Just some of the group of jeeps lined up in the snow would be nice to add to my site if someone could send them to me.
