Tammy, Thanks for documenting the days activities. It was nice to finally meet you and your hubby(who helped me a lot, Thanks :D ). I didn't have time to pull out my camera. And thank you Al(and son),, your help was, and is, greatly appreciated :D . Your spring compressors made it possible. I arrived home about 9PM. The re-lifted rear end (air bags and spacers) have worked great. Still holding air,, and riding mighty fine. I'll be hooking up the camper wednesday so the air bags will be put to the test. It was good to see all you LOST people again 8) ,, and all those cool jeeps.

Get muddy

Tammy those were some great pics. I didn't know that you were also doing a lift on Sat. I was wondering how in the world your husband knew where and what size everything was. Team Handy, thanks for the use of your garage and knowledge of lifting Jeeps. It was great seeing the new faces and the old. Can't wait for the next run.

Nice pics Tammy! And a BIG thanks to Al and son for all of their help. Thanks for letting us come up and install everything. I finally got those Boulder bars on and now can wheel more at ease.;)

It was great seeing George, David, Chris and Jenn, Tammy and Jim, and Al with his son Jimmy. Can`t wait to hit the trails (and beach) with everyone.

Mike

Thanks to all that came, we had some good time didn't we!!!

The garage is always open to my fellow LOST members and their families and friends.
Hope you ladies didn't mind sharing the garage with the other "ladies" adorning my garage walls (see the pictures). It was a real hoot walking around the swap meet with the life size beer girl cut-out in the bikini under my arm.

Chris, no noise or any problems with the lift? Just remember to tighten everything again this weekend. I just don't know where all those left over bolts came from. And when you get a chance take the tension pullies off clean them up real good with some WD 40. This way they will not sieze up like MIke's and Jae's

Tammy have Jim check the bolts again this weekend, and I hope its running nice and quiet now!

David and George, I was glad to see that you could make it. I wasn't much help to you two, but you looked like you had everything under control.

I really enjoyed myself, it was extremely tiring day, due to the fact that my old bones ain't 20 anymore. And when I was 20 I really abused my body (such as hitting a car at 40 mph with my motorcycle, but that's a story for another day). I am glad that you all made it home safe. I am also glad to be blessed with Jeeping friends such as yourselves.

Tammy thanks again for the great pictures!

Al

I think that right now that is the least of my problems. Something going on with the tranny. When I put it in reverse and back up, then stick it into drive it will wait and then go in to gear. Had my brother do it a couple of times while I listend and you could hear a grind if you just put it in drive and took off after backing. I am gonna start with the basics and get a trans flush if it does not straighten up it off to the dearlership. But then again I might call them today and let them look at it. I think I am going to post this also on another thread and see if anyone else has had a problem like this. If stuff like this keeps going on I am going to trade it in for another or maby a Rubi.

Chris,

I think this a the way they work. The tranny doesn't go into gear immediately, it takes a couple of secs and makes this noise like the gears are grinding, but the tranny electronics/mechanics are sitting there figuring out what to do. I have the same problem, took to a couple of dealers and they explained to me that its normal for our tranny to sit and "think" before it decides to go into gear.

For what it's worth I just changed my transmission fluid and internal filter, (30K service), the filter was filthy and the magnet had alot of sludge on it, it shifts way smoother now but these tranny's with the lock-up torque converter sometimes seem to shift hard! By the way you have to buy the fluid from Chrysler they have a patent on it it's ATF + 4. Joe
