Anyone looked into Rustys new exhaust system.

It says it will fit the 2.8L.

Check it out at

IMO, seems kind of steep for what it is.

Basically it appears they're selling a FlowMaster system. I'd recommend you shop around for FlowMaster Catback system's.

I look in the Liberty 2005 parts list, the muffler for the 2.4L , 3.7L , and 2.8L are all the same part number. So any after market system for the Liberty should work on the CRD.

Yeah my wife's muffler has the same part number stamped on it that my CRD does. So I'm thinking you could use any also.

BUT...diesels are different animals, so even though you can safely use the same exhaust as the 3.7L, there is probably a better setup that a person could go with. Some of the diesel guys on other forums say that straight-piping is the way to go because with the turbo you already have "back-pressue" so you want a zero restriction on the rest of the system. I think I'm going to straight-pipe mine for $30 at the local muffler shop.

Someone else did that and said it was too loud. But good luck and let us know how it turns out. I myself is thinking of a glasspak, high flow but with some noise reduction.

So far it was the EGR that set off the CEL, just bad timing it went right after the exhaust mod.
