Got the factory driving lights mounted last night. I couldn't believe the light they put out for being stock. These with the brite box put out a wall of light that on the back roads we drive are amazing. Took me about 3 hours to install them with the splices and poking through the firewall. The biggest issue was those flap things on the back of the bumper. What a pain to get them closed correctly. Now I need to figure out a rock guard for them, anyway

The boss/wife is more than pleased with them...when she's happy, everyones happy :D .

I should point out that the factory lights are fog lamps, not driving lamps. Fog lamps illuminated in a flat, wide, short range pattern while driving lamps are a more narrow, long range pattern. In most states, fog lamps are legal with the low beams and driving lamps are only legal with the high beams, and normally only with a two headlamp system. Just my .02

Hmmm...I always thought fog lamps were yellow to cut the glare? Anyway with the bite box, everything's on with the hibeams.

New question: I noticed that the idiot lamp is on with the parkers and then goes off when you turn on the head lamps and then comes back on when you turn the fog lamps on. Is that correct or did I miss wire them? I thought I followed the constructions but...

Fog lamps are more the lens design and beam pattern more than the color. True amber for lamps will cut the glare a little but 99% of the amber fog lamps aren't the right color. KC actually makes one of the better aftermarket for lamps in that color and they are a dark amber, almost reddish.

I have factory fog lamps on my Renegade and the dash indicator is only on with the fog lamps. The lamps can be turned on with the parking lamps and the low beams, but go off when the high beams are on. If your indicator is on at any other time, I'd say something is a little weird.
