I just called the Service Dept here and wouldn't let them blow me off this time (I have called 2x before and they said that they are backordered). This time they transfered me to the parts dept and they put me on a waiting list. They said it will be about 2-4 weeks before they come in. So I guess just call and get your name on the list.

Still waiting for my notice. I stopped by my local dealer earlier this week and they didn't have the parts. Told me
to check back in two weeks.

I haven't recieved a notice either. I just asked them if they had the parts and they said, "Yeah, when do you want to bring it in?". Had them done last week.

No recall notice in the mail here, but my dealership had no prob fitting me in to get it done when I called Tuesday. Booked for Oct 31st . Your dealer can just look up your VIN and find out the recall work is "incomplete". I checked my VIN on DC's site before I called, so it made sense to me if I could see the recall online, the dealer's comp would show the same.

Call your dealership.

I have not gotten mine yet either, and mine is an '02 built in mid '01. If you have moved, you will most likely not get a notice, so punch your VIN into the website. I updated my address online and with my local dealer, so they have it. So the dealer cannot refuse you if you do not have your notice. If they try to, call the manager, then owner, then corporate.

Technically, you are not supposed to bring your vehicle in for a recall until you have received the recall notice. The recall is scheduled so that the parts should be available for the owners that have received the notice. One reason that parts are so scarce is because of all the people and dealers trying to do them before the notice is received. In any case, in the interest of customer satisfaction, most dealers are doing them on a first come, first served basis as parts become available. Again, you can thank our wonderful liberal media for letting the cat out of the bag early, before the parts system had enough replacements to do the entire recall in a timely manner. Please be patient with your dealers, as they deal with this all day long, every day just as we do here at our dealership. Tempers are thin with some customers and most of us take at least some abuse from customers on a daily basis that are either misunderstanding the situation or think they are better then everyone else so try to be patient with them.

I hadn't got my notice either, but I just called the dealer and they got me in and out the same day. The dealership is just a couple miles from Chrysler Headquaters, so they might have gotten extra parts or something.

I work at the HQ of a very large retailer, and I know that the stores near the HQ get preferencial treatment so that if the executives or their family/friends shop there they are well stocked and well staffed.

The dealer called me today to say the ball joints were in. I am getting them done next Thursday!! What's funny is they've been saying it's ok for the wait because I have an 05 but today the guy was saying it's urgent that I get them changed out ASAP.

Notices were supposed to be sent out based upon build date, so based on that info that the customer service line told me, I should have been one of the first to recieve one, so if '05 owners are getting notices, and you have an '02, you need to go on line, then call the dealer ASAP.

My wife called one of the Jeep dealers around my area last week and she told them that we have an 03 KJ and an 04 KJ. The service dept asked her if we gotten the notice yet. My wife told them no but she also said that if we were able to bring the Jeeps in they would be one day at a time. Drop one off, get it fixed and then drop the other off.
The service dept told her they could do both jeeps the next day.
We brought the KJ's in the next day, mine MUDDY, and my wifes clean. The guy at the service dept said wow a KJ that looks like it should. I laughed.
they did the work on both KJ's in 2 hours.

I asked the service guy how long it would take...I said I could leave it all day if needed. He laughed and said they'd have it done in no time...we'll see on Thursday.

Still waiting for the dealers to get the parts to have mine done. Called the local dealer yesterday, still said two weeks. Then called the dealer where I bought it and got put on a waiting list. They'll call when they get them in.
