I've got a 2003 Liberty Sport 4x2, 3.7, auto, w/80,000miles, and I'm having problems with my windshield washer fluid. At first I thought it was the pump or a fuse that controls the sprayers for the washer fluid, but now believe it is clogged fluid lines from the reservoir & pump. How do I access the reservoir & pump, and the lines that feed the sprayers to check for clogs so I can rectify this problem. This has been a really annoying, especially now that the butterflies are migrating down to Mexico for the past 2 weeks now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and hope that all it is is clogged lines and not a bad pump.

The lines run up the passenger side. There are a couple places to pull the line apart over there. Maybe you could pull it apart and see if you get anything thing there. If you do then you know the clog is before that. If you dont then its either a bad pump or the clog is before that.

Does the rear wiper work?

And lastly, did you check the fluid?

The rear wiper and washer sprayer work great, it's the front ones that don't work. I'll take a look at it, will I have to get to it via the passenger side wheel well or can I get to it from under the hood?

The hoses are in the engine compartment. I think you can get to the pump through the passenger side fog light door, not to sure though..

2005 Sport with "STUFF"

If the rear works great then the pump is good. I would suspect the problem near or in the nozzle part of the system. It is exposed to the most weathering. I would think you would have to get a lot of dirt into the systems reservoir to cause a clog in the hoses. IMHO.
