OK, as of right now I am in, but that may change due to OT requirements at work. I'm going to be heading up on Friday the 27th, probably leaving the valley around 3pm so if anyone is interested in a caravan let me know - if not I'll just go straight up. Probably going to be staying in a motel Friday night due to the need for electricity and general wimpyness on my part :P I may be able to make the chili social Saturday but I'll need to be back in the valley Sunday by 2pm for work (yeah, on a Sunday).

EDIT: I found out this evening that they have cancelled teh OT for that Sunday and they have everyone they need for Saturday so I GET THE WHOLE WEEKEND OFF!!! Whooo Hoo! :D

We're going to bring some chili already mixed up for the pot. Brining a box of saltines too. Anything else we need to bring for Saturday night? Can't wait.

later, mike

Mike, are you talking about the store on the north side of the road going toward Concho? If so, the coords are as follows:

34°33'27.19"N
109°57'42.22"W

Or close enough that you'll be able to see it from the road

I got a room at the Thunderbird Motel in Show Low for Friday and Saturday. Looks like a nice place; I always like the smaller Mom and Pop places over the chains. and its only about 1 1/2 miles from the campground. Now I need to get my chile made tomorrow night 8)

Through Taylor
and on to Snowflake......
At Snowflake intersection of the 277
Take a right (east)
your on the Concho highway....
proceed to approximently mile marker 8.......a small gas station on the north side of the road........
We'll look forward to seeing everyone there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If any plans should change....Or Clint & Will have a better meeting spot, Call me on my cell.........I should have coverage around Show Low......
C U at Trick or Jeep.........

Hey Gang,

Sorry this is getting to you this late.............. Spoke with the owners of the country store just to make sure they were o.k. with it, no problem, we are good to go. See you guys there at around. 8:00 or so.

The right on Hwy 277 that Mike mentioned is the only stop light in Snowflake so it will be easy to spot, see you all Saturday.

Well, since I haven't heard from anyone I am going to guess that they are leaving either earlier or later, so I'll probably be out of here around 1pm Friday. I'll check one more time before I leave and adjust if needed. I'll be bringing my FRS radios in case anyone needs comms (I'll also have my CB, lets see if I can break another antenna off :P ). Looks like we'll have perfect weather for the weekend, maybe a tad cool:

Forecast for Show Low -

Today: Mostly sunny. Northeast wind 12 mph. High 58.

Tonight: Mostly clear. East wind 6 mph. Low 23.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Northeast wind 6 mph. High 64.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear. South wind 6 mph. Low 34.

Sunday:
Partly cloudy. High 68.

See everyone Friday afternoon!

Well shoot, I forgot that this week/weekend was figure 8 racing at the fair...started last night actually. I have to race on Saturday night and if I make the finals(or if my car lasts) I will be racing again on Sunday. So it looks like I won't be able to make it this weekend. :? If you guys get bored on Sunday though when you all return come down to fair and watch me, Sunday night at 7PM car #14.
Hope you all have fun!

Could someone pass a message to Vern to call me please. I sent him a private message as well but, not sure if he will see it today or not. My numbers are in his PM. I will check back in here later tonight.

Thanks;
Chuck

Chuck called him and left a message for him.

On that note, I'm shutting down and walking out the door. See everybody tonight or in the morn. Remember to bring some warm cloths.

Oh and if Corwynn or anybody else in Phx area going has time to meet up with AZscout and pick up a MTR from him to bring, I'd really appreciate it.

later,
mike
