We just got back from camping up in Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Brrrrrr, talk about cold. It got to about 15-20 degrees.

We also had a bear come visit, but that's another story :)

Just got done shoveling the drive. It wasn't the light fluffy stuff, it was the "heart attack" snow. Those with some shoveling experience will know what I'm talking about...

So, what would do better in snow: MTR or Revos? (or some other ones, besides chains)

It depends on the type and depth of snow.. In 3 feet of snow, I would say the MTR's. In a light snow fall, probably the revos.. You probably wouldnt noticed a big difference between the two though..

Joel, we got about the same amount of that "heart attack" snow down here. Took me about an hour to shovel the driveway, the sidewalk, and the walk to the front door. The funny thing was that Jen had said last week that I could get a snow blower if it snowed a foot in a day. I made a point of reminding her of that this morning.

How 'bout Buffalo last week  They got a couple feet in a day and a half and most of the leaves were still on the trees, what a mess. Good ol' Lake effect snow! Nuthin like 2 inches an hour of huge fat flakes! We watched the clouds form all day over Lake Erie all day and fire straight toward Buf. If that wind was just a little more NorthWest than West it would have been us, oh well it'll come soon enuff

I took one and Burchie took one. His came out much better than mine :) That was taken on top of Papoose flats in Death Valley National Park back in October 2005. Look in the West section for more pics from that trip.

What is clubgp? So that should answer your question.

I will say this, chances are I have had the nickname longer than anyone on the net. It was my high school track nickname back in 1983.

I keep watching the Weather channel for snow but we have been lucky to date. People think I'm sick b/c I get excited the more it snows.... they don't drive a Jeep :D

**edit** Holy Cow guys! I just saw some of the dumping you folks got, it looks nasty, hope all you in the area are safe. Happy shoveling

The snow wasn't really all that bad. We got about a foot or so in about 12 hours. Those from areas that experience lake effect snow would just call it a good heavy snow. The winds weren't too bad either, sustained winds of 20-25 mph. There were some areas of the state that did get hit pretty well though. I heard about one area that got 18 inches in 18 minutes.

Officially, we got 11.5" of snow in Aurora, CO.

Driving to work today was really bad. It had to be worse than yesterday. Ice everywhere and idiots driving down hills fast.
