I'll be bringing along a buddy - he helped put all the extra parts on so he's certified!

Does anyone happen to know the exit number for the rest area? It looks like I am going to be the only guy driving south and it'd help eliminate any confusion on my part.

Thanks,
Chad

not sure if there even is an exit # I only know it as the first one you come to after the Welcome TO New Hampshire sign but again I'm traveling North ,the last exit I see in MA. is 47 I believe before I hit it,wish I could be of more help, if you want to just meet at his house I can give you the address ???? & you can map to there

I'd be willing to drive to his house. I don't want to make the link-up hard for the group. I am willing to drive a bit further down the road to join the caravan.

In order to meet us at the rest area, you would have to come into Massachusetts, by 2 exits, and then head back. The first exit in Mass is a ramp to another highway (rt. 213), so you would have to go one more exit to turn around (and at that point, you're only one exit from MY house). Anyways, I'm not sure where we are heading to after we leave the rest area, but there is a weigh station between exits 3 and 4 (you would have to go to exit 3 and reverse direction). Again, not knowing exactly where we are going, and where you are coming from, I'm sure there is somewhere more convenient for you to meet up with us.

MMMMMMMM Mud 8)

Forcast for Hancock says showers and windy for Sunday (but around here it's partly cloudy and windy, go figure). Wouldn't be the first time we wheeled in the rain

Thanks for the offer Tim but, unfortunately I'm still in N.J. and won't be back in the area until later in the week. But, I will keep this in mind for the next run that I may be around for.
Have fun, be safe and take lots of pics.

I think my Jeep would put itself in drive and roll away on its own if I said I wasn't going because of rain and mud!!!

Extra pair of pants and some trash bags - ready to roll! I look forward to it!

just an update on weather for tomorrow

depending where you look tomorrow should be a good day after all if there is any showers it'll be in the AM other than that looks like prtly cloudy & 43-45 degrees

I checked 4 weather sites & only one that did mention showers is the Weather Channel & thier usualy wrong & 3 local sites didn't mention rain at all but will be cold/cool

if you have anything bright orange I'd suggest brining it just incase I'm not sure when hunting season is there,I don't but chancing it,it's mainly for a bathroom break after all we'll have to pee in the woods

The Missus is trying to talk me into staying home  Anyways, I've got extra clothes packed for me and my son (he fell into a mud puddle once when we were out on the trails, so you never know). Hopefully it won't be too bad tomorrow.

Pete, not sure if you are aware, but I mapped Salem NH to Hancock NH, and it looks like about 1.5 hours (I think you said 30 minutes in an earlier post). It's only 64 miles, but I think a lot of it might be slower roads (ie, not highways). Just something to keep in mind.

See you in the morning!
