 Post subject: Rear end noise.

Has any one had a howling noise fron the rear end when accelerating from a stand still. And the same when stoppping. Only happens before 30Km/h.


Have 88,000km on a 03' Renny.

It may help you a bit...I've experienced a noise, not a howling but a clunking when accelerating or stopping from my rear end. Could be a number of things...check that out and see if you can relate w/ anyone. Good luck.

When is the last time you changed the read end oil? What weight are you using? Those aluminum diffs require the oil changed more often.

Rear diff is not aluminum.. :wink: Thank goodness.. :roll:

I took mine back to the dealer for some rear passenger side noise.... 2006 Sport w/ 1300 miles on it.
The said the rear calipers were rusty and they cleaned/lubricated them.... OK for now, but I bet it's a temporary fix.
