well, i just got back from Dutchess Dodge, Jeep.....i went in with the mailer-coupon for oil change, tire rotation and safety check, all for $19.95.
when i picked up the KJ, they had done the oil, tires, thru me 2 new wiper blades, which were on the front seat, and.....they did the ball joint recall, without even mentioning it, they just went ahead and did it!
these guys have been awesome to me from the day i bought my KJ! from a free loaner while they reversed all 5 tires from white letters showing to black letters, free wipers, and just plain old being polite, respectfull, and helpfull. oh, and when i went in to have them help me figure out why i couldnt get the factory fog light wires to work, (the RME doesnt come with fog lights, but the wires are still behind the grill), they not only helped me figure out that i was missing a relay, they GAVE me the freakin thing free! took 2 guys at least a half hour, and no charge!
so.....kudos to my dealer's service department! anyone in the dutchess county area....i recomend them!

Must be nice to have a decent dealer. All the dealers in a 50 mile radius of me stink.

Sounds like they get it.
After hearing that I wouldn't hesitate to buy another vehicle from them for sure. I hope they keep up the great work. Congrats to them!

What i would like to know is how the heck they can just GIVE you ball joints when the rest of the country is waiting at least 2 weeks for them, AND has to pre order them....

I didn't have to wait...I called to ask about my regular oil change and if they could do the ball joint swap and they said can you be here in an hour? I said sure can.

I didn't have to wait either...I took it in for an oil change and mentioned it while I was ordering my work....the guy said 'Yep we can take care of that today to if you like"....it was done in an hour and a half.

That is fantastic! I'd love a free set of wiper blades before the on-set of winter.

My dealer is pretty good, but yours seems to be top notch.

Same with mine....just the hard part was getting them to put it back in alignment after they knocked it out. Not a good day at my dealer that day.

That's a great dealer. There are good ones out there and when you find them don't let go.

Ask them what they'll do for you if you refer them a csr! I would go to them instead of mine in lower westchester. Mine seems to excel in fixing one thing and screwing something else up! I've been waiting 2 weeks for LBJs to come in for my recall and today I get an email saying I should come in for a 69K servicing before I run out of warranty. Of course when I called two weeks ago & ordered the LBJs I told them I wanted all fluids changed and they said wait for the LBJs to come in and we'll do it then! Seems like whoever is sending out the service emails has no clue what is already scheduled. :?
