I think this might be a good idea. Considering the coverage this event is being given, it might be a good way to get our name out there.

I think a few LOST members showed last year. Let's build on that for this year.

Hey Dave, Army Gaurd is helping since the Marines that did this last year are deployed, maybe you could talk your Commander into leting you organize a unit donation and you could go and show your support!! That is how I am doing it!

Not gonna happen. We are in the middle of an ORE inspection training. It lasts for the next few months. What stinks is we will be doing some drill days during the middle of the week AND on April 26, 27, 28, and 29!!!! I have to cut my Moab trip short!!!!

We started this inspection training last month. Nobody is getting off drill days unless it is a major issue.

STUPID INSPECTION!

Here is the flyer:
http://www.ori-centennial.com/CCFK/
I met at the Home Depot off Arapahoe last year, I figure for most of us south of Denver, this would be the best point for us.
It is a Saturday, the 2nd. The third is the Sunday that the Seahawks are going to crap all over Mile High and the Broncos. They will be happy they have a Plummer to clean it up so that they do not stink for long...Oh wait, too late, they could barely beat Oakland!

Well, The convoy is looking to pull out at 10 am sharp (even with the snow last year that is when we left). No excuses for being late, Last year everything was coordinated with police to stop traffic for us even. All of the groups merged onto 6th ave perfectly, it was great. So I will want our group (hopefully a group) to arrive at the home depot around 9:30/9:45, then we would have time to get some Arbys or just look at all the rigs there before we pull out. So if we leave the Diamond shamrock by 8:50/9 we should be able to get there in plenty of time, according to google it is a 50 minute drive, so if good weather, I think we could do it in 40 minutes, if bad weather, I say we leave Diamond Shamrock by 8:40. Two weeks we will know for sure weather wise.

That sounds good to me. I'll make sure that I'm at the Diamond Shamrock between 8:30 and 8:40.

OK, So far I have:
Me
KW AV8R
Rock Lizard
tjkj2002

From the Springs area meeting at the Diamond Shamrock off Baptist Road between 8:30-8:40 heading to the Home Depot off of Arapahoe to leave there at 10.

Is anyone else going to do this?
There are other meet places around Denver for you northern guys. http://www.ori-centennial.com/CCFK/

This is for a great toy, and you do not have to provide a lot of toys, all that is asked for is one new unwrapped toy. There is also a free raffle at the fairground, and they are raffling off a tricked out Scrambler there as well. Many vendors were peddling their wares as well. This year, the Army is doing it because the Marines are in Iraq/Aghanistan, so they are bringing the rock climbing wall and other Army goodies as well. Weather looks chilly with posible snow flurries in the evening after we are done, so lets all come out and have a good time!

So anyone else comming along, it is an awesome sight to see all of the different rigs merging onto 6th all at the same time from 3 different directions!
