Since I'm new to this Jeep thing, you have my respect for making a hobby profitable by making parts for others.

You have done what few folks have the courage to.

I say do what it takes to get production up but please don't sacrifice quality to do so. Many folks here have and use your products and speak highly of them.

Chin up. Maybe spray a little extra oil on the bandsaw.

Are you running coolant on your bandsaw? What is the huge difference in output, maybe his has a larger throat and he is cutting multiple pieces in one swipe? Something has to be majorly different. Take a good look at your setup, maybe you can adjust the feed or speed, or change blade types, or coolant to get some more work out of your saw.

Whatever the difference is I would say you made a good choice in having them cut for you, with as little time it is taking the other shop to do it you have got to be saving money even considering having to pay them to do it. Plus it equals much less headaches.

Another update for you guys. Everyones diff covers have been shipped, except for those that requested paint. Those I am letting cure a little longer before shipping due to the extreme cold weather we have been having, so I wanted to make sure the paint set right so it didn't stick to the packaging.

Rear bumpers, well, still working on them, but they are starting to ship out one at a time. These things are a lot of welding. Each one takes a full day of welding and finishing, on top of the jig fitting and test fitting each one to an actual KJ so there will be no fitment issues when they arrive.

Skink Sliders. Those take a long time to cut out all the pieces, and with my full schedule and slow bandsaw, I decided the guy that does the bending of the super skink outer tubes for me will also cut out all the parts for the sliders as well since he has more time and several industrial size bandsaws. To give you an idea of how good of an idea this was, it took me about 3 hours to cut out one complete set of sliders. He just knocked out seven sets for me in four hours today. So now all I have to do is throw the pieces in my jig and weld. Much more efficient, and wish I had thought of it sooner. So expect it to take less time to put these things together and get them out the door.

So, I am trying to get things moving much more efficiently, and contracting out the slider parts alone took a huge weight off my shoulders.

so any update on the front bumpers for the 05's? i am guessing those wont start shippping until the rear ones have totally gone out the door, and rightfully so.

just curious, im axiously awaiting!!

I can vouch for the quality of Marty's products, my skink sliders have saved my booty plenty of times, and I haven't even wheeled with 'em that much. If I was keeping the KJ I'd definitely be in line for some bumpers, those things look schweet.

My hat's off to you man, and thanks for supporting the ugly duckling of the Jeep family

Maybe we all need to ship our better halfs out there to help take care of the kids , cook clean etc for a week at a time. That way when his wife gets home from her day job, she can help him. Theres been times I wanted to ship my wife off somewhere but didnt know where , NOW I do!!OH wait that was the Ex wife! :P

No keep up the good work there Marty I think everyone on here realizes that making something like you make is not a 3 hour job. We can all wait for a while, we are not going anywhere else!

Just keep up the good work Marty! No problem waiting for good quality stuff. I know I got a great deal so no way am I going to complain yet. Matter of fact, if anyone behind me in the ordering process just can't wait anymore, you can send them one of my rear bumpers and send mine later.

I take back what I said before...I want my bumpers now!!

:D or at least before March...
