Ok, I got my Frankenlift today and drove home from CA to Phoenix. For some odd reason, my gas mileage was better on the way home (with the lift) than it was on the way there (without). I thought if anything it would get worse because of aerodynamic drag. i'm not complaining, I just though it was weird. I gues my Jeep is just happier.

tail winds

more air flow underneath to push the KJ up and make it lighter going down the highway

shook off a few gremlins that were afraid of heights

I never thought the height would cause mpg to go down.. Some people believe it will, but I just do not see it. So what if more air is going under the jeep? I bet it flows ALOT better under there than it would going up and over the jeep.. :)

That's easy to explain...

Your wallet was much lighter on the return trip.
