Sweet. Any more details? MFG? Cost? U.S. Retailer?
Now lets see how deep you can go! Got door seals?

The manufacturer is Gibson RM, who you can find here;
http://www.gibsonrm.com.au/html/gibson_snorkels.htm

I'm sure they can help you out as regards cost. There was a US distributor mentioned a while back, but I don't know what's happening there. I do know that there are loads of snorkels lying around in their factory just waiting to be ordered! You'll likely have to wait until the end of next week though, since they need to turn the photos and scribbles that me and the installer produced today into re-distributable installation instructions and templates.

One slight caveat; it took their installer, with 20 years of vehicle body working experience, almost a whole day to install this snorkel. Of course some of that time was taken up with making templates and taking photos, but it's still (he reckons) the most awkward snorkel installation ever! I don't know if it'll be easier or harder without the bull-bar. I really hope it's easier, since it was virtually impossible with it! Also, the air-con pipe that runs along by the side of the airbox was a real worry.

I think it's recommended that you use an experienced snorkel installer. I certainly wouldn't try doing it in my garage!

How deep can I go? Dunno. Ironically I live on the driest inhabited continent on earth! Right now it's just very dusty, but come the winter I'll see if I can find some water somewhere.

Are they going to have another version for the Liberty sold in USA? The radio antenna is on the passenger side therefore is going to be on the way of the snorkel.

But, but, but... That would mean removing the 'Trail-rated' badge :shock: Wouldn't that be sacrilegious!?!? :P

O, there is enough room for the antenna and the badge to share the same fender and not fight... :lol:

Not with the CB Antenna mod in place of the radio antenna.

Nice Ed.

Can you post a shot from under the bonnet? I want to see what the plumbing looks form underneath.

Here's an 'in progress' underbonnet shot. When completed it looks virtually stock uner the hood. Where the original little mini-snorkel clips into place is sealed off, the snorkel intake enters through the wing (just missing the air-con pipe) and into the side of the airbox, you can barely tell any difference unless you look closely.

Sweet! Count me in on a US group buy! How hard do you think it will be to modify for the CRD?

Hardly anything at all. The only thing I can think of is the wiring harness that runs down the side where the new intake pipe fits into the stock airbox.
