the liberty does not seem like a car w/much weight behind it, so how well would a snow plow perform? i've seen wranlgers with plows on them around here and they are smaller than the liberty...

I don't think it's an issue of weight, but of IFS. There's a company that makes a plow for the KJ, but it's not for professional plowing, just cleaning a few drives or the church parking lot.

i wouldnt want to do professional plowing. the recent weather here in the chicago area got me thinking...

I've never witnessed a Liberty plowing snow and I wouldn't think of using mine as a plow truck. I have plowed, and continue to plow a lot of snow with full size and larger pick-ups and I just don't think it's a good idea to use your Liberty unless you're just doing your driveway and it's a short driveway. I certainly wouldn't buy a liberty that has been used for plowing.

A gasser with CRD or OME HD springs, or those new king springs someone had made, with a lightweight plow would be a sweet little part time plow rig. Although I agree I would not be using it hard or for a business. But beware, once you get a plow on a vehicle it is hard to keep it parked when there is snow on the ground. You will be sitting there just dying to get out there and play in the snow

The problem with the libby isnt the weight of the rig, its the fact that it doesnt have a frame(Uni-Frame). It would be fine for light plowing in the driveway and things like that.. The wrangler has a frame..
