So I've read a lot about pre lowered, lowered, normal and whatever else ride heights there are for stock libs. I don't know if this has been in another thread or not before, but maybe we should start gathering some info on what peoples ride heights are so people can tell if they have a lib with a saggy suspension or if they are lucky enough to have a good stock ride height. I suggest we take heights from the pinch weld and gather some data.... I just went to check mine but I can't find my measuring tape  darn squirrels!

Before the lift and tires, I had around 6.5 under the front skid.. Which is just sad. With the OME medium duty front coils and HD rear, the 245/70/16 tires, I have around 8.5-9in under the front skid. Not to sure what I had under the pinch seem before the lift.. :? Im not happy with that so Im getting the Rustys front coils to lift it alittle more.. Im also getting airbags for the rear.. 8)

yea i realize that, but i just want to see what the averages and differences are between KJ's. For instance my dad and I have identical 2003 sports, his sits 1/4 inch higher (maybe patriot blue paint weighs more than red?? haha :D ). I drive mine a bit harder so maybe the suspension has worn quicker??? or maybe it is factory.

I'm considering the same thing, Seems like an easy way to adjust for towing, and thought it would be cool to be able to lift the rear to increase the breakover angle on obstacles. I'm still investigating, love to see pictures when your done.

I believe there are over 10 different stock springs for KJ's, so stock heights even within the same year will be a tad different.
I have no clue what I was stock.

I'm working on adding onboard air now, with the intention of adding airbags and an ARB locker later. Seems the most difficult obstacle so far is finding a suitable air tank and location. I found some small 2 1/2 inch round 44 cubic inch air resevours (.2 gal) that can be mounted near the bags and locker, but nothing in the 2+ gal range that will fit underneath the KJ. Most of the small tanks I've seen are at least 6 inches round and wont easily fit between the rails.

Sorry for jacking this thread : :?

Can anyonne confirm that KJs with the factory towing package have stiffer/taller springs? I don't see why they wouldn't. I'm guessing that's partly behind the variation.
