I think we need a sticky FAQ for the CRD-there are so many little nuances and differences with the CRD, and most of the stuff is covered multiple times, but it takes a lot of time to hunt and dig through all the threads...

I'm willing to put in the time to research the stuff and put somethin together. Some help from someone who has been a CRD owner longer than I have would help though.

Not to whine about the software for the forum-because I really appreciate this forum, but the software doesn't let you search "titles only" so if you type in "oil filter" and search the CRD forum, it'll pull up every thread with the words "oil" and "filter" appearing anywhere in the thread-not just the title. And this really makes searching more work than it needs to be. Lots of chaff to sort through.

So, aye, what do you say to an FAQ thread?

thanks,
Nick

I think it is a good idea, and once you guys have some written up just PM (no emails) them to me and I will get it started. When I start the FAQ I will have the thread locked so all will have to go through me for editting and preventing it from being highjacked. The content of the material is only to be CRD and CRD tranny rated, anything else will not be excepted. Remember it has to be CRD related for example like the Fumoto drain valve and adapter, if you are not sure summit it and I will decide.

Is this agreable to all???

I think it's a good idea because there are more and more CRD specific items coming up. Like the approximate 1/2" front suspension cradle drop on the CRD only(and whatever else that one thing changed, CVs, ???)

Just a lot of stuff piling up that's hard to remember.
