Question for Al:

I was just wondering how the progress with your lift is going? I haven't read anything on it lately and im interested to see how things are coming along!!! :D Im considering the frankenlift at the moment, but im always up to see what a fellow new jerseyian has developed and might consider going with that!!!

*note to moderators* im not sure where exactly i should have posted this so feel free to move it anywhere, and didn't want to just PM Al because i thought others might be interested as well  *

You know, someone else thought of the line, I think I took it and modified it a little, and I thought about it, and said "you know that is me completly not PC". And I do get in trouble for it once in a while! Big Al's Liberty Lift System is still in the design stage, seems all the componets work, but as ideas come forth while sitting in the throne room, I keep redesigning and making things better!

But any way, quick reader digest.....I need to figure out how to make the mods in the front bolt in and the rear I have all the parts I need to re-make my tri - link but this time with an axle truss. This rear set up will be bolt in and adjustable. I also need to relocate the rear upper spring pads, which I think I will do with the Nth TJ units.

Once I am done...I promise to write it up and post pictures on the web site. This year has been crazy, my real job just was (for family channel)....BAD. I am starting a new job in Pa. some 20 mins from my home and my garage mecca. I am hoping the coming year will return to some stage on normal, and I can start working on the KJ again along with my hot rod project. I am looking for a Willys too...think Rat Patrol!

I rather be in my garage to the wee hours of the morning than behind my desk at work.

Al

PS ANYONE HAVE A SPARE 8.25 I CAN BUY, WITH DISCS?

Hey Al, Have you looked into the "CRD's have lower diff mounts" thing?

Hey Al if you need some more testers i am down here in South Jersey and would be interested in being a test dummy. not for free of corse. I would pay for the lift.

Once I get everything done, I will post the updated costs. I did post a while back on the costs, I will difg that post up and up date it. As for test mules, as soon as I know mine is 90 to 100% safe, most likely will can figure out how to get these things a couple of more KJ's. The problem is right now is the time. I spent yesterday resealing my transfer case, (about 4-5 hours still not finished). It was leaking real bad, but that is another story.

Just to relocate the upper a-arms downward, it was $1500. I did not do it because of the time involved, I had Jeff Daniels Jeep do it for me. They are into modifing, not just bolting parts in.

The rear truss in next, and with all experimentation, the steering rack is shot, as is my steering rod. Experimental wounds I caused developing the lift, not from the lift itself

Al

the '02 Liberties actually have Donkey balls - actually I believe they are driveline stabilization weights (or something like that). I don't have any pictures right now
