I finally found the right KJ for the right price. 2006 Sport 4x4 6-speed manual. Sorry about the crappy pics, I'm no photographer.

I love this rig so much. I was driving a twin-turbo Stealth before this, but the KJ is way more fun! :D
I plan to do as much wheeling as I can. The fact that this thing is so capable is the main reason it was my final choice. That and my mom drives an '05 CRD which is a freakin' awesome rig. This Jeep is going to way outperform my last 4wd, a 1997 V8 Dakota. And this new 6 speed is so nice to shift I can hardly believe it. Of course, my Stealth's tranny was on its last leg so theres no comparison there.

As far as mods go, I'm thinking cat-back exhaust (I gotta hear more of this beefy sounding engine), black cragars, and BFG A/T's (had em on the dakota loved them)...and maaaybe a lift. We'll see.

One thing I am also interested in is replacing the grey flares/bumper covers/side molding strips with the black sport trim. I think that'd look pretty wicked. Does anyone want to trade, or know where I can get a complete set of trim?

Thanks everyone!

Looks great!

Congrats and welcome to LOST. Be sure to check out the local chapter so you can meet up with other members and wheel your rig.

Lookin' good IMO that color is just about perfect for the liberty. Black trimmings would be nice though.

Make sure you get skids and sliders/bars/rails if you plan to off-road. Those are basic must-haves for off-roading.

As for picture taking, couple of helpful hints:

1. Keep the sun behind or above you
2. Flash isn't always needed with a digital. Sometimes the picture is better in a dark room w/o the flash (at least my camera has proven that).

Yeah I'm definately going to get full skids and sliders eventually. I'm just going to stay away from the more severe wheelin' until I do. Thanks for the advice on the pics, my dad told me the same things when I emailed him these  I'm going to try to get some action shots of my KJ today since I've got the day off work

Nice color combo. Very earthy. Makes my dark slate gray interior look depressing.

FWIW, consider tow hooks (front and/or rear) as one of your first mods. If you plan to wheel in mud, you'll probably need to be towed out at some point. (I hate mud.)

Towhooks, check. Are the kind you get with the factory offroad package pretty good? Everything on the KJ so far seems top notch so I dont see why the tow hooks would be any different. The only options mine has is 4WD and cruise control so I gotta add all this stuff...but thats more fun anyway.

Stock tow hooks are great. If you don't have them, I have a rear hook for sale :-)

How much would you sell it for?? That'd be a start, I guess. Does the rear tow hook attach to the frame, or is it just one of those things that sticks in your reciever hitch?

Frame! It is the stock rear tow hook that came with the Renegades of old.

I guess my for sale post has been deleted. Check it out here:

By the way.....framed pictures in your garage? Man! You need some pictures from the tool companies that have special people promoting them.

Haha, actually thats my mom and dads garage. I went over there to show off my KJ and take some pics since I dont have a digi cam, and to pick up my welding stuff that he'd been borrowing. What you dont see is the 36" TV and full size beer fridge that are on the other side. 8) My mom got the rest of the house to put together her way, so the garage is like my dads sanctuary. Mine on the other hand is full of lumber and the partially completed ice fishing house I'm building.

Oh and I live in Fargo ND. Where you at?

36" Tv and a Beeer fridge (kegerator?) in the garage? I can handle those pics for those items.

Look 1" below my avatar and you will see my location.

Oh...yeah I guess it does say where you live over there on the side. How convenient!

Its not a kegerator, but rather a regular fridge thats dedicated to beer.

Congratulation on your decision to by a KJ!

It's fun to drive and fun to wheel it outdoors.
When I bought my, after driving, before I went in the garage I had to go once more around the block...
(...I still do).
