We're up to 6 on the pre-sales for the 3 pod gauges!

C'mon people, 24 more pre-sale orders before the orders are processed and molds are made.

I wanna pull the trigger soon, but I have to talk to the wife about it and she is due any day now, so we are trying to see what the money situation looks like after the baby arrives and the tax man takes his cut before I start "throwin money into my toy" :D

Congratulations!

Well if it's formula, diapers and onesies vs. gauges. I know where the priorities lie.

WOW
For as much complaining that we do for not having adequate gauges on the CRD only 4 pre-sale orders out of a minimum of 30 to make a 3 pod pillar mold!
We need 26 more people or a few entrepeneurs willing to buy in bulk and re-sell on e-Bay.

BUMP. For providing status

Status is that they are still listed as pre-order on the website. I had to get a 2-pod, which means I won't be getting a 3.

When they already have the existing template from a 2-pod, how mcuh work can it possibly be to alter the mold for a 3-pod?

I can understand if it was a totally new application, but it isn't.

It's a horrible business practice revolving around laziness and lack of customer support.

They probably would have sold the 20 required and then some if they just put the thing for sale right off the bat.

PS.
here's my 2-pod with the stock handle attached...

26 presale orders are still needed before the mold is placed into production. I can't comment on anything ancillary as I'm not well versed in the plastics molding buisiness and the costs involved with mold setup.

Is the "Ditto" guage the one that warns you that you have been here before...I think in Europe they call it the "Deja Vue" guage...but it only operates for s split second and then dissapears.

In Ireland my rental has a three pilar gauge set up. Here it isn't ditto, nor deja vue, it's called, "auuhhh foook it. I donnna no wha this'en is for."

:D

I have been offline for a while now and was browsing for any info on replacing the dash cluster lights when I found this thread.

I was contacted by LoTek about 2 weeks ago to have my $50-odd refunded since there was not enough interest for the 3-pod pillar. Sorry to say, but it looks like they gave up on us. I do see that the pre-sale is still listed on their website (GaugePods.com). Maybe that eBay entreprenuer is still out there and willing and able to buy 25 @ $45 to resell.

Good luck.

I saw this thread and got excited, then read through it was pretty dissapointed in the amount of enthusiasim in the begining and the huge lack of follow through in the end. With the auto tranny (as far as this noobe has found) being the only option for these in the US at least, if you're doing any mods you need all 3 gauges, trans, pyro, and boost. Hence this 3 gauge pod should be top priority for anyone with any performance modifiers.

So here 5 years later since this thread initially died is there any more interest where someone could pick up where it was left off and get this thing moving? If there was some serious interest I would be willing to pick up a few of them to pick up the slack but there is no way I would be able to pick up 20+.

Those are 2 gauge. Some of us want 3. Also, why do they say up to 2005. Why won't they fit on a 2006?

Likewise interest in a 3 gauge and a 2006

You can get two-in-one gauges now that make the triple pod pretty much unnecessary. Check out Mcnally gauges for example.

I'll check out those gauges but I generally find the ones that I've seen in the past make them less usefull for either gauge as each one is so small. Also many times they are digital which I don't like either. I like being able to glance at an analog gauge and see where the needle is without having to fully focus on it.

I hear ya, that's just how I crammed four gauges into a 2 gauge pod.

I'd be interested in adding gages. What does it take to connect these? It used to be adding a gage (example oil pressure) would require running a line off the engine block to a pressure gage. How are the sensors installed? Is the data already available but not displayed? Thanks in advance for educating me.

Depends on what gauges you get. But generally a pyro is just a prope you drill and tap into the exhaust manifold and run the wires to the gauge in the cab, trans temp you put a sensor on the trans and run the wire into the cab and boost you run a 1/8" nylon hose from the manifold to the cab.

You should never ever never run a mechanical oil pressure gauge or any kind of fluid pressure gauge into the cab as if the line would to burst you've got say 30-40psi+ of hot oil being sprayed into the cab.

Other than the sensor wires it's just a matter of finding a power and ground and ilumination wires to tap into. Generally pretty easy, just takes some time.
