Makes me wish I had some heat in the garage, because I have to go to work with or without snow. :D Should have thrown my tires on my jeep before the snow, too. Of course my heater isn't working in the jeep either. Guess I'll have to go out and bash snow in the wife's jeep.

Figures! I leave and you guys get another blizzard! I missed the big one in 2003 (28 inches) while I was on a training program in Baltimore for that week.

I hope the snow makes it to Ohio by Christmas. They think it will get to us by Christmas evening...or it will just be rain.

Stay warm and have a safe fun time with your Jeeps.

Gotta love it. I havn't been on in a while. New baby etc. I am going on 24 hours at work now and it is not looking like we are going to be leaving any time soon. There are drifts behind cars in the parking lots higher than the cars.

Hey Nails! Welcome back but it doesn't take long to just pop on here and say hi and all. Get the little one to learn how to type already!

By the way, CONGRATS! Boy or girl? When did he/she come into this world? Name?

Also, you need to change your location. You aren't in Iceland anymore....well, if you look outside, you might think you are still there.

I know, Iceland is green and Greenland is ice.

I want that snow!!!

Looks like the lockers front and rear did you some good. You probably wouldn't have made it back home.

Dang Joel, that looks fun ... we need to have a snow run one of these days! We didn't get to have any fun down here on the south side of the Springs. The roads had about 1" of snow on them for the most part. Our driveway though was covered by a drift about 2.5 feet deep. That meant no fun and a lot of work

Hey, has anyone in the Denver area received mail yet? UPS, Fedex?

I saw one DHL truck come down our street today, but that's it. I think its pretty bad that they aren't delivering mail 4 days later...especially given that today was the last day we could have received packages before Christmas. :x

I'm sure they are going to work with customers on prices, especially guaranteed shipping like the two day thing. Next day and two day, and similar are delivered via Air, and with DIA and most other airports closed down for two days, not much to do there, and even if most of the main roads are cleared by the second day, most of the residential roads are still pretty hazardous, atleast around my area. Then add the fact that this week is the busiest time of the year for shipping, knock off a couple delivery days, things get stacked up pretty serious. My driver was out yesterday for the first time since work Tuesday, and he was just trying to empty his truck, no pickups, and I had a package on his truck, and he couldn't even get to it because it was so buried. UPS was delivering today as well, and I still haven't seen my driver, and wouldn't be suprised if he came by around 11 tonight. Those guys are working about 16 hour days right now, even before the snow storm, so I can tell you, they are trying. I talk to my driver everyday, and those guys are working their arses off.

Man, I wish that was the case around here. One of my neighbors brought up a good point...the delivery folks here are contractors and therefore aren't neccesarily required to put in the overtime that actual employees would be. So four days later and we have received nothing...we are expecting a couple UPS packages and a couple USPS packages. A couple day delay is totally understandable, but the roads in our neighborhood have been passable for the past 48 hours.
